AF and Port attacks are also good way to stop enemy to build fortifications, since repairs are prioritized.

Using flying boats to move troops between same restricted HQ bases is nifty trick.

Just remember that they cannot move some heavy equipment.

This is among most helpful wargaming forums there are.

As about moving units, you cannot transport bracketed units with R as their HQ as said.

If it's white, you cannot change the HQ, they are permanently restricted. And if unit screen says Static, well, that tells it all.

It has been solid game for a while.

Just in need of bit code-smoothing and then we can all got into modding.

Game has great spectrum of ability to accommodate various alternative starts and interpretations of history. AI scripts are more painful (kudos to andymac) but I bet there will be more ...

Most of the issues people have are easy to correct with Scenario Editor.

Important is to get code sorted out and correct. Rest can be left for modders.

Individual ships and units can be easily corrected afterwards. It's historical game, not perfection of history.

It seems to be based on movement rates (manual 8.3.1).

Cavalry doesn't seem to get higher movement rate, armoured unit does.

Note that disabled parts of units are more prone for destruction too.

Disruption and fatigue increases chance of being disabled.

AI tends to bring in BB Bombardment TFs regularly to harass PM.

Not much you can do about that, except submarines and dive bombers (torpedo bombers too, but then you'd need Air HQ there).

It is somewhat beneficial to have air units in same base set under same Air HQ.

Other than that, command structure is not that relevant.

I was worried that having ASW as main mission would cut range to half, but apparently it doesn't.

DMS and faster AMs are pretty good to have in Amphibious TF. As bonus, some have pretty good ASw weaponry.

As to OP, it is repairing.

You can see it with 93% for next point be repaired.

You cannot expect very quick repairs when your repair estimate is 450 days for fully repaired.

By minimum, you will have to wait some months before that ship is safe(r) to sail to West Coast and into bigger shipyard.

AFAIK, you cannot train different skill than what your unit is set for. E.g. While flying Naval Search, you cannot train ASW by setting training %, you just train NS.

To Train/gain skill in 2 ...

But this way they train faster and also give small chance to actually have air ASW attack hitting sub.
