Re: New Public Beta - v1128 Live Now!

I should have added. Maximum Range of an aircraft is fixed by design. The maximum range setting is really a mission range.

Not sure what you mean by 'mission range', but max range in the aircraft details screen means the transfer range without armament - i.e. the furthest base hex it can reach ...

Re: Zero PP each turn

Maybe some form o penalty should be applied when withdrawing a damaged ship say 10x excess damage? Or being able to withdraw a substitute? Probably too late for either.

Re: New Public Beta - v1128 Live Now!

This is how I see it after many, many test etc.

TF is in Rangoon.

I made an error in the post, I got Bangkok and Rangoon mixed up. Rangoon range 7 from Tavoy, Prome range 10, within 3 hexes.

When i do a LRCAP and TF is outside range it warns me it is.

I come back to what I said earlier ...

Re: New Public Beta - v1128 Live Now!

The units target is TF 530 (7) this will override your max range setting. Where is TF 530?

A little appreciate fact about LRCAP is they also have a patrol range of 3 hex centred on their target, just like CAP does. So wherever TF530 is your LRCAP may intercept anything within 3 hexes of it. It ...

Re: New Public Beta - v1128 Live Now!

2 - Bug i have an A6m5 stationed in Tavoy in a LRCAP with a maximum 5 hex range for a TF, it is leaking to Prome at 10 hex range which is more than 8 hex range it has without drop tanks. Drop tanks are not on.

LRCAP needs a target, what is it? Are you sure there's no other group doing it ...

Re: AE vs AKE

The turn after a manual refuel order by the CV TF.

It is now full armed except for torps on ships. Guns 1917 (100) etc
Supplies in the AE/AKE are now down to 80ish%. Still set to follow, still a Support TF.

Re: AE vs AKE

Here the evidence on AE rearming from any TF type.

The date is 30 Dec 1944 . The All ships in the CV TF have been doctored to have only 2000 fuel cap and all have zero ammo except for the Ellet and no ammo. This is reflected in Guns 1917 (11) etc.

The two TF have just met, hence refuel to max but ...

Re: AE vs AKE

I first read five days ago and some of the things posted are incorrect but before posting I wanted to confirm them. I think I've only ever got that late in the war once and can't remember using rearming at sea so I decided to test it.

The two things I did know for sure are

You have AE and AKE ...

Re: Monsoon effect

It is different only in the sense that bases without supply caps could in theory receive an unlimited amount of supplies per turn while bases with supply caps can only receive up to the supply cap limit (and half of that during monsoon). But the basic mechanics of supply and demand, distance and ...

Re: New Public Beta - v1128 Live Now!

Engine production is not modeled on the Allied side. The aircraft manufactured (on map) or transferred into the pools (from off-map, invisible production) simply show up with the required engines. I believe the Manpower, HI and Supply points to achieve this are taken out of the massive surplus the ...

There's an anomaly with the Allied intel screen. The Japanese can access their Aircraft/Engine production pool form this screen the Allies cannot.

It exists because you can access it via a bases Aircraft Assembly button.

I dare say but that doesn't answer my last question. Do they replace the normal supply path rules, actually they must otherwise it won't work, but I'd like confirmation.

Thanks for that. Not sure why I missed that supply limit.

So just to confirm, bases in the Monsoon area use a different delivery system to the rest of the map based on this supply limit.

All other bases ...

Be advised that base with a supply cap value in place but no airbase, port or forts to multiply with, has a supply cap of 1000.

Thanks for the response but I'm really confused about this cap of 1000 so lets forget about the Monsoon bit and look at basic overland supply.

Here's what the manual ...
