Re: Carried Over Supply

Lobster

Had a need to revisit this topic. On a unit by unit basis maybe you could assign excess supply and, “if” the unit has sufficient organic transport, the supply would be retained by the unit until consumed through normal movement/combat. This would require coding and a manual change to ...

Re: Beta Test & Eric

Eric’s response was three months ago and no activity since; no encouragement there. It’s time for you to be proactive and get a firm date for beta release.
Possibly Matrix has little interest because they can’t monetize a TOAW IV patch. Maybe it’s time for them to consider selling the patch as a new ...

Beta Test & Eric

What is the status of Eric’s response to your beta support request? We’re hoping you have something encouraging to report.

Re: Hierarchy Module Document

Gotta have mountain ability to climb Major Escarpments on the coast.

If there are major escarpments on the coast, simple, don't land there.
Please, don't cite Pointe du Hoc or a movie as the basis for making mountain troops elite amphibious units. Pointe du Hoc was taken by Army Rangers who ...

Re: Hierarchy Module Document

Nevertheless, I've never been happy with units disembarking into deep water hexes so I'm going to finally revise the game so that is no longer possible with one exception:
I'm going to allow it for what I'll define as "SEAL units": A unit with both the "Amphbious and Mountain Icons" . . .

Re: Carried Over Supply

Is there any way to give units more supply than they would normally have and at the same time move with that over supply in tact.

You probably can get the effect you want using supply related events.

A Theater Option can be used to temporally increase theater supply for the desired number of ...

We'll all rejoice when the time is right . . . I'll take your word that the time isn't too distant. However, still think that a patch could have been put out (in about 2022) which would have made the community very happy.

Re: The Operational Art of War V

This idea would be even better.

As an alternative you might consider where each player plays an entire turn, but only on alternating turns. Two players (A and B) against two players (X and Y) would go like this:

Player A plays the turn. Sends sal file(s) to B and pbl file to X
Player X plays ...
