In other words Eric's reply is: See Steel TIgers. Same verbage. That one has been on the back burner for such a long time the fire has gone out, the gas line has been disconnected and the house it was in has been torn down.

I don't think anybody has even coded anything on Steel Tigers yet. TOAW is ready for beta testing now (although maybe delaying till the legacy bugs are finished makes sense now).

Eric’s response was three months ago and no activity since; no encouragement there. It’s time for you to be proactive and get a firm date for beta release.
Possibly Matrix has little interest because they can’t monetize a TOAW IV patch. Maybe it’s time for them to consider selling the patch as a new TOAW V game. Of course, registered TOAW IV users would get a discount.
