E13A1 Jakes on Naval Attack and ASW

<r> <QUOTE><s>
</s><e>
</e></QUOTE>A Japanese player has an opportunity to train a couple of hundred float plane pilots. Those pilot trainees usually develop their NAVAL SEARCH skills. However I noticed that spotting an Allied sub has become very difficult somewhere along the numerous ...

Ah thanks! But I imagine it isn't shown doubled, it just is doubled for calculation purposes. Thus probably the wording.

AV will show DOUBLE number of total available av support.

RE: Fuel efficiency amongst xAK

One of the things that I noticed by playing in a PBEM game that considerations about fuel efficiency is one thing, the thing that one needs to consider is the point value of loosing high value AKs vs sending a bunch of 1pt xAKLs into enemy sub patrolled areas.

The cost of changing non-restricted unit to other non-restricted is lower, but usually the amount is not shown.

Low Level Bombing

<t> I have a question about low level non-naval bombing. I believe that the game engine uses GROUND LEVEL skill for bombing at altitudes greater than 1,000, although there is a penalty for flying at lower than 6,000 feet.<br/>

Am I correct? <br/>

I can't believe they never changed the code. I was reading about this years ago.

On the other hand, the code can't handle float planes because they're not fighters?

Float planes vs 4Es

In the thread about night bombing there is reference made about putting float planes on cap(even at night). I did notice myself that float planes can disrupt 4Es. I was wondering why this works? And isn't it gamey?

In real life combat could a float plane have any impact on a B-17?

RE: Stacking Limits

<t> My problem with SL is that it restricts TRUK to 25,000, which is barely enough to station about 5,000 infantry units. That makes it easy target for an Allied invasion. Further, Truk is supposed to serve as a staging area, but with SL of 25,000 that's hardly possible.<br/>
