RE: TOAW Dock Icon Available

<r> Rocketdock is free and allows you to put a shortcut onto a menu bar on your desktop, mimicking Apple OS. You can then assign a PNG file to the shortcut. Here's a screenshot from my desktop.<br/>

My New Icons For Campaign Series

<r> Posted at DeviantArt, along with several other Matrix titles. For use with ObjectDock, RocketDock, or whatever takes .PNG files. Feel free to convert them into .ICO files if you want; but I don't use .ICO anymore personally due to the low res look of them. These are all hi-res 256x256 ...

RE: Better Graphics

<r> TOAW has a 3D mode but I've never used it. It's the old Avalon Hill/SPI diehard in me. [:D] For the JTCS games I play 3D exclusively, with bases on. Seems more appropriate to the scale and the models are way better and force-specific, while TOAW's are generic.<br/>

RE: Steam sucks

<r> Not trying to be a PR toady for them, but there are a lot of misconceptions about Steam that get repeated from its early days. It does now have an offline mode that allows you to play with no internet connection, which I use a lot when I travel with my laptop. And you can set games to avoid auto ...

RE: No more "been there, done that" games, please!

<t> WW2 is safe turf. If you go backward, people don't like playing with a drop in tech. If you go forward, you get the drop in scope, among other things. Personally, I am very uncomfortable creating a game from a situation of ongoing suffering, like Afghanistan; I'm thinking mainly of first-person ...

3. Enter Steam settings for the game and do a complete verification of game cache; let it download any missing files.<br/>

I also have all of HOI3 on Steam with no problems at all. Never had a problem at all with Steam, except for its offline setup acting wonky from time-to-time.

TOAW Dock Icon Available

<r> Finally getting around to uploading some of the hi-res icons I've made for my Matrix titles, and other wargames. I'm using these with ObjectDock but they will work for Rocketdock or any utility using .png files. For TOAW, I used my favorite boxart from the series, from the WGOTY version. Posted ...

RE: Better Graphics

<r> I agree with Ashcloud. I don't use 2D because it is way too bland. The TOAW map upgrade was a great example of doing a lot with very little; made a huge difference to me. I think both 2D and 3D changes to the terrain could be useful. Whatever TOAW did to make the map overlays blend better and be ...
