RE: BACK IN BUSINESS - PzB goes East again(st) Andy Mac

Looks like a Ki-109 . Solid nose , 75 mm armed Ki-67 . An effort to build a high alitutude B29 interceptor . Hasegawa and LS ( i believe ) both make 1/72 scale kits of this bird .

Patch and Guadalcanal Scenario

<t> Patch does not seem to affect the data in Guadalcanal scenario . Shokaku and Zuikaku still have deck armor of " 0 " . F4F-4 replacement rate is still 20 . This is what i see when starting a fresh game and not a saved game . Coral Sea scenario reflects the new values . Does anybody else notice ...

RE: Allied 1,000 lb bombs

<t> In ver 1.50 , player requested feature #18 , after aug 42 allied db's may sometimes use 1000 lb ap bombs . Starting in 43 allied heavy bombers may sometimes used 2000 lb ap bombs . I remember having read that in IRL the gp bombs were set to go off as soon as they hit but that even a slight delay ...

RE: Riddle me this Riddle me that...

<t> Hello YAR , This prob. seems to crop up when you transfer an airgroup fragment back to the parent unit on a carrier . How to best avoid the prob is to transfer the parent airgroup to the same base as the fragment and have them merge there before you move them back onto the carrier . If the a/c ...

RE: 2.41 Combat Replay Errors

Hello TimTom , As i understand it , when the allied player saves his pbem turn the combat results are locked in at that point . So as the japanese player you can reload the turn as often as you want but the results should always be the same . Regards ... HMcS

RE: Bombardment missions through the Slot

<t> In my pbem ( scen 17 , 2.3 ) as the allies i've hit mines in hex 39 , 40 . I seem to remember reading in the manual that if you lay mines in a hex with a port or a/f of 1 or greater the mines will be sown to prevent an amphib invasion . but if the hex is still 0 / 0 the mines will be sown ...

RE: 2.41: Reinf. sqd's arrive with few or no aircraft

<t> I didn't think it was but it's happening in my pbem game too - Scen 17 - from the ship avail screen - Jan 5th 43 - last turn under 2.3 - Essex - 36 / 18 / 18 /15 . By Jan 31st the Essex is at 36 / 18 / 16 / 10 . So even though she's not in theatre she's lost 7 planes . It has happened with ...

RE: CV operations points and aircraft changes

<t> Hello Mike , I've had this happen a number of times . While not foolproof if you're moving planes on and off carriers i've found it best to have both ships at the same port and to first transfer the a/c to the base , then to the ship . You can do both in the same turn . You can even load sbd's ...

Negative Suppy Level at Bases

<t> Hello All , A little help needed here .... . I'm several months into a pbem game and i've recaptured a couple of bases . Unfortunately after recapture LeaLea showed a minus supply level of 1.6 billion . And now with the last ija unit retreating from PM it went to a minus 2.1 billion supply ...

RE: PBEM Combat save problem

<t> Hello MC3744 , I've seen up to three different combat replays from a single combat save . I chalk it up to FOW . You can only really be sure of damage done to your forces . Everything else is only " reported " damage done to the opposition . Even intel reports are not 100% accurate . Lots of ...

<r> Hello JC , I use MS paint for what i've done . It's pretty simplistic but you can do alot with it . For altering the plane side views under images uncheck " draw opaque " . That will allow you to overlay the plane side view onto the clouds . For UV i did a zero , val and kate from scratch using ...

RE: Captured Base, Ships Returned to Enemy

<t> Hello Ol_Dog , What i believe DJAndrews and i saw was that hopelessly damaged ships , which were in port at Rabaul when it fell , were transported back to Japan , had all their damage was repaired , and were available for re-release to the theatre the very next day . In my case the Yamashiro had ...

RE: Captured Base, Ships Returned to Enemy

<t> Hello DJ , After reading your post i went and checked on a game i'm playing against the ai . It's Scenario 17 and is Oct 43 so the game is well won for the allies . I fire it up every so often to practice amphib invasions . I seem to do a poor job of them even without any japanese interference ...

<t>Hi All , Von Frag is bang on . Far more Ki-100's were produced using converted Ki-61 airframes than new airframes . That would put the total closer to 400 that were available for combat . From when the orders were issued in Nov 44 the Japanese were able to get a prototype airborne by early Feb 45 ...

<t>Hello DTX , I remember reading a post quite some time ago about the very same thing . <t>Hi Drongo , Do you feel the LBA cap would have performed better if it had of been assigned LRcap over the fleet even though the range would have been 0 ? Each hex represents 30 miles , or around 700 sq miles so i guess it's alot to expect 24 P-38's to cover the base and a task force . The more i ...
