RE: Ability for IJN player to cheat in PBEM?

I would think that the radar on the CV TFs would provide fairly accurate reports of enemy sout planes, but I am not sure of that. I assume that the intel reports are accurate about being spotted, if not, I'd like to know that.

RE: Ability for IJN player to cheat in PBEM?

<t> <br/>
I must be a suspicious and paranoid type, because I'm not convinced. I don't think the average player can cheat, but how about the computer geek that understands the code? Some time ago I had a japanese player who always knew exactly where I would be. Once I took a CV TF and moved it ...

RE: Can this game be Saved?

Are my problems the kind of problems that would happen if I did not upgrade properly? My opponent is not having any problems ( or at least he doesn't whine about them like I do). I am not having problems in my original games, only in CHS. Is that consistent with an improper upgrade?

Can this game be Saved?

<t> I am in a PBEM game as the allies using CHS Nikmod and 1.804. We have had major sync problems beginning immediately after 1.802. Now I have the following: remnent units from DEI and So Pac losses rebuilding in Darwin and Auckland have disappeared after reconstituting to about 20-30% strength and ...

Yes. I just encountered it for the hex at Kursaie Island. If I try to access the hex ,or any unit in the hex, I lose the game completely. I have sent a save to Matrix and their gurus are on it. No problem prior to 1.802

Thought it may be something like that. When do I get the AGC's ? (at work so I can't check it myself. If I ever loaded this game on my office computer my kids would starve).

production issues in CHS

<t> I am an experienced PBEM player but not an avid forum reader. This question has probably been covered before but the search engine sucks, so here it is again. It is May 42 in a CHS game and the allies are almost out of army fighters. I am getting only 1 P40B replacement a month and 1 P40E ...

<t> How about "The Corps" series by WEB Griffin. Half Navy and half Marines.&nbsp;Long on fiction, but damn entertaining. &nbsp;Romance Novels for men. Eat some steak and eggs, bed a virgin, then go fight the Japs for the Cactus air force.&nbsp;Or, "Winds of War" and "War and Rememberance" by Herman ...

RE: Longest DEI have held out

<t> I have sucessfully held all of Java and all of Sumatra south of Palembang in at least five PBEM games against accomplished and high profile opponents. I do not mean that I held them into 1942. I mean that I held them until the end of the war or until IJ surrender. I call the defense "Napoleans ...

<t> More from the poor dumb bastard. I lost the planes and I am the one least troubled by it. Sh*t happens. Maybe they were too complacent from two weeks of unevenful similar missions. Maybe they encountered some bad weather and were strung out and out of formation. Maybe sun, clouds and haze ...

<t> Feb 43 with me as Japs and Jon_Hal as allies. High water mark for IJ: Wake and Midway, All DEI, PI, Southern India and Ceylon, all Solomons and Funafuti islands. <t> I have 5 games going (not 12, Drex). 4 allies, 1 Japanese. I try to do 3 turns in the morning and 4 each night, rotating so everyone gets about the same amount of play. I try to take my time and really look at everything every 3 or 4 turns and I can send most turns back in about an hour ...

WHERE ARE THE JAPANESE PLAYERS?

Also looking for long game (scen 16) Japanese players. I see several threads with no replies. Where are the Japanese? Can play multiple daily turns. Settings negotiable. Respond to this thread or PM.

No. I bought the game, then I bought a new computer to play the game faster, then I bought a lap top to play the game on vacation. I cut my working hours to play the game. Soon I'll probably be paying alimony because of the game. I would do it all again.

RE: You're losing sales with no demo/high price

<t> I look at the game price in terms of dollars per hobby/entertainment hour. For instance a 3hr movie at 9 bucks is $3/hr, golf is $25 hr, a good book maybe a dollar, weekend in Vegas-- don't ask. Now Witp is now down somewhere near $.05 and since I'm only in August 42 in my most advanced game ...
