<t>Good to hear! I must have missed this as I scanned the 1.5 patch items.<br/>
<br/>
This does seem to be a common cause of the odd pilot/plane assignments. However, withdrawing/disbanding can cause similar problems as can carrier air groups which transfer to bases when their carrier is damaged and ...

<r>This has been the only major problem with the game since it was first released. However, in spite of its DEVASTATING effect on game play, it hasn't been completely addressed in the patches. Matrix fixed some of the early situations that were causing difficulties, but for the most part, the ...

Not Green, Just Not Very Good

<r>I'm looking to pick up another Allied opponent for a scenario 17 game. Currently, I'm working on 3.5 games. Translation - one opponent has very little time to play (only 3-5 turns per week :rolleyes: ). As a result, I'd like to add another game to fill that available time.<br/>

<t>What are the mission type and retirement status set to? "Fast Transport" and "Patrol/Do Not Retire" should do the trick at an enemy beach. <br/>

At a friendly beach, set the friendly beach as both the destination and homeport. I believe if you do that, any type of transport task force ...

It's the original leader, Kozono; leadership 64; inspiration 70 (or values very close to those; I'm going from memory here). These values don't sound too low, so I don't think that's the problem.

Morale loss for no apparent reason

<r>I'm experiencing the same bizarre loss of morale for the F1 Tainan Datai that Oleg mentions (currently it's at 43). There seems to be no reason for this morale drop. There is ample aviation support and plenty of supply at their base; only 2 or 3 losses to 6 kills; the base is undamaged; fatigue ...

<t>Yes, I suppose you could do the same thing with regular transport task forces, but they take so darned long to unload! While they're unloading, they're basically target practice for any enemy attack aircraft or subs in the vicinity. Also, they move very slowly compared to fast transport task ...

<t>Yes, there is a purpose to capturing them. If they are controlled by the enemy, he can use them as destinations for retiring task forces. The more "dots" he has, the greater choice he will have when deciding where to send TF's after completing their missions. (And the less choice you will have ...

Aren't base forces supposed to grow?

<r>I have a related question concerning aviation support and an apparent error in the manual. The manual indicates (in section 19.8) that each airfield is associated with a particular base force, and when that airfield expands, the base force is supposed to gain aviation support squads. <br/>
