Mod Request: Terrain color changes

Loving the game but find the map terrain colors not quite to my liking. Any modders thinking of a terrain mod in the near future? I'm not a mod maker but would love to hear if someone is considering doing such a mod. Not sure it is even possible but I suspect it may be.

RE: AP and combat

<t> Yes, it shows where combat is possible and from what hex side, but not why it is limited to there. That's were it would be nice if there could be a visible indication of remaining AP on each hex it is possible to move in to when in movement mode...perhaps in a contrasting color from the hex cost ...

Operational level North African campaign also including the Med naval combat & logistic side during 1940-42 would float my boat. :)

RE: Pz 35(t) and Pz 38(t) - Where are they?

<r> Numbers, gun calibers, tank varieties are not enough to tell the story of how tanks function on a battlefield. There is also the issue of training ("Can they drive at night?",) doctrine (Can they fight independently?"), communications ("Do they even have radios?",) design ("What, the tank ...

RE: Luftwaffe Useless Strategically?

<t> At this grand operational level of simulation, I like the abstraction of the air war as executed, however it has to be done with a great deal of thought behind it since there are so many variables that change over time. If the game's numbers, formulas and calculations of air power's effects are ...

RE: Thoughts after first full game

<t> I can't find much fault with the map itself, since it is mostly pretty clear and easy to analyze a situation - given a game focused at this level of command and maneuver. If we were speaking of battalions and companies, that would be a different matter and I'd want to see much more ...

<r> My vote:<br/>
1. WW2 West front/Normandy to the Rhine<br/>
2. Finish WW2 Eastern front<br/>
3. WW2 Italian front<br/>
4. WW2 War in North Africa<br/>
5. WW1 start to finish, perhaps in modules<br/>
6. WW2 Pacific also broken down as necessary<br/>
7. Korean War 1950-53<br/>
8. Now that ...

This gem of a game demands more expansions

<t> I've said it before, but I'll happily say it again: this unique approach to war gaming by simulating operational command using historical personalities, relationships, events, decisions, etc, really deserves to be applied to more scenarios. The one I'm thinking about specifically is of course ...

RE: Combat Setup Screen and Spacebar

<t> All I ask is that whatever is chosen is consistent across all modalities and windows. My vote is for ESC="no" and ENTER="yes" with SPACE="no" for movement since it is so convenient there next to the M key, i.e. an alternate "no" key. And yes, mouse clicks should be consistent with majority of ...

RE: Attack Screem

On a related note about the combat results window: The icons and numbers are so small that my old eyes can't quite make them out very well. Any suggestions? I really don't want to alter the monitor resolution because that would restrict the game in too many other areas.

I will check numbers in Askey books. Would be interesting to compare combat power. It well may be that 162 German tanks had similar power to 239 Czech tanks, so making divs equal in DC:B would not matter that much. Of course there would be ...

<t> As a married man myself, I am duty bound to remind you, Typhoon, of the collected wisdom of the ages: "A happy wife makes for a happy home." RE: A very poor design decision

<t> I just bought the predecessor games in the series and gave them a look-see. They clearly are much more detailed with regards to AFV types, etc. But I can see where this game is oriented more in a different direction - more on process than on content is one way to look at it. It is a bold step ...

RE: Issue with space key in combat window

<r> Thanks for your reply, Cameron. I get the convenience of the SPACE=ESC for movement but I'm one of those guys...you know the type: "Consistency is the bane of small minds." I think of the enter key as YES and the ESC as no so this SPACE=yes is a new twist. I can live with it but it will continue ...
