Merging units

<t> I know I've seen it somewhere but I cant find it. How do I merge a unit? For example playing the Italian campaign, the US 2nd Armored Division is separated into three Brigades. Ihave all three brigades in the same hex. How do I combine them? Conversely, how would I break a division into either ...

Win 8

I was looking at purchasing the game. On the specs screen it doesn't mention Win 8. Does the game run on Win 8? I have WitP Admirals edition and it is buggy with Win 8. I don't want to purchase this and have the same problem.

RE: Windows 8 settings?

<t> Alfred, no I haven't checked the mouse settings and yes I am using a wireless mouse. I just bought a new Toshiba with an I5 processor. I was excited because I thought WitPAE would run super fast. Well, not so much. The lag between mouse clicks makes the game unplayable. I'll check the mouse ...

OK, I've tried&nbsp; -SingleCpuOrders and -ww -cpu4 -deepColor -px1680 -py1050 both together and separately. While using -ww -cpu4 -deepColor -px1680 -py1050 the screen scroll is better but the delay after clicking something is still a 4 to 6 second delay. Any other suggestions?</t>

<r> How do you do the switch to SingleCPUOrders? I am not very tech savvy. But I am having the same lag issues.

Does placing veteran pilots increase the skill level of new pilots when they come into the game?

Aside from esthetic reasons do dot bases have a negative reason for not capturing.

AC pilot training questions

<t> I have a whole bunch of questions when it comes to training pilots.<br/>
1)There are three different pilot pools, reserve, TRACOM, and replacement. From what I have been able to gleen from the forums if you send vetren pilots to the TRACOM pool it increases the rate at which pilots get on when ...

So if you strip a unit like this will it return later in the same condition it was in when you stripped it down?

RE: Air Groups that are hardcoded to leave and then return

Thanks for the answer. The reason I asked the question is that I wanted to know if it was a good idea to pull the pilots from the affected squadrons before the unit left or just leave them in place.

Air Groups that are hardcoded to leave and then return

<t> So air groups that are hard coded to leave the game and return at a later date do the pilots that are with the unit when it leaves return with it later on or is it an entirely new group of pilots? On a slightly similar vain do LCU that leave and return later keep the experience level it had when ...

Disbanding Air units and one other question

<t> If I disband an air unit the game then asks if i want it to return in 30 days. Where does it come back (playing as the Allied player) and what does it come back with? IE does it come back with exactly the air craft and pilots that it had when it disbanded or does it return at full strength? Also ...

Air transporting supplies..

If I want to air transport supplies how does that work exactly? For example I have a squadron of DC-2's in Kunming and I want to bring supplies into Kunming do I need to rebase the unit some where else or will it bring the supplies to where the aircraft are stationed?

RE: Sardaukar's Newbie Tutorial AAR for Newbies (vs. IJ AI)

<t> I have a few questions about Malaya on the first turn. First, sine the 5/14 Punjab Battalion is attached to the III Indian Corps I was thinking of loading it up on the first turn and moving it to Chittagong. Does this weaken the area too quickly? I figure it's best to have these guys in India ...
