out of the woodwork.

<t> War in the east was the game id waited for all my life. I was hoping foe the witp version of the ostfront. what i wanted and still want was Regiments, 5km hexes and 1 day turns. i was so dissappointed, but that didn't keep me from spending hundreds of hours in the game and the editor. Every ...

an old forum

<t> i think the website was called military photos, or something similar.Maybe some here remember it. No topic was off limits but the forum was moderated with a heavy hand. Then the site was changed to "The mess'. Some people dropped out, as I did. i thought it was the best forum i ever took part in ...

RE: TOAW combat under the hood

I remember that dispute. At about the same time I made a test scenario with a Grossdeutshland PzGr division and a Russian rifle division supported by an independent tank regiment that was still equipped with BT 7s. The BTs kicked butt. I thought; Uh, oh.

RE: Monster Scenarios

Is there a map of Russia at 5 Km or miles a hex like the ones above? If not is there someone here who is willing to make me one for money? Its the only thing in the editor I can't do. How much will it cost?

RE: Is it possible?

I'm in the editor and the airbase screen doesn't show an 'attach' button. I have to change the HHQ to whatever airbase I want the unit in. Then a mouseover shows the flak unit attached to that city, even if there is no city symbol on the map.

RE: Is it possible?

Well that certainly seems a lot easier than what I was trying. I guess, in game terms, an airbase is the same as a city, for flak attachments.

Is it possible?

To attach flak units directly to airbase units? If so, would someone please tell me how? What options are there for protecting airfields with flak?

RE: If I buy the Tunisian add on.....

Thanks guys. Maybe I'll start with an air only campaign. Or maybe modify the existing 43 campaign back to a Nov 42 start, kind of a start to finish air war. For the Americans anyway. I'll buy it.

I've lost everything

<t> My family bought me a new computer. Windows 10, from XP. None of my matrix games will update. I get an invalid serial number message. I go to support. They say "sure we'll help you out but first lets get you signed up for a few other websites" I don't want to register for other websites. Hell, I ...

<t> I'm trying to make some adjustments to JG 11, namely ready and reserve aircraft. Just changing the numbers in the editor didn't take. Then I checked all the boxes for saving the data. That didn't take either. I even loaded the generic data and tried modifying that. No joy. How can I change the ...

How does device accuracy work?

<t> All of the guns, but one, mounted on aircraft have an accuracy less then fifty. Smaller bombs start at one. The bigger the bomb the greater the accuracy up to the 4000 pounder, which is a 90. Small arms tend to be 50 to 300. Artillery seems to be 250 or lower, with bigger guns less accurate. The ...

RE: Well, that didn't take long

I think whenever you right click on a target without having first selected a firer it happens, or if you right click on a target with a firer with no weapons. The escape key clears it up.
