Re: Scenario 10 or Scenario 102?

Platoonist was showing the scenario list from the most recent update. I've played the older Ironman scenarios and they were fun but the most recent update is better. I'm playing scenario 4 now and it is quite a challenge and the AI seems to be making good decisions for the most part.
One thing, if ...

Re: AI spawning units??

Thanks for the answers guys! Only a bit confused by the below comment. The AI doesn't create supply TFs? Ever? Been playing AE since the beginning (and witp/uv before that), mostly against the AI and I've seen/sunk about a billion AKs bringing cargo to various bases. Were/are they all pre-programmed ...

Re: AI spawning units??

Have some additional questions for Ironman players:

1. Does the AI get a dispensation when operating from damaged airfields? I know that reduced ops are possible in general from a damaged AF, but the AI managed to launch 34 fighters from a (level 1) airfield with 85 damage (at least according to my ...

Re: AI spawning units??

Thanks for the responses! Yep, that all makes sense. I've only ever played the older Ironman versions and never had this happen before. I applaud the concept of giving Japan extra stuff but I also like (LOVE) the historical aspects of this great game and this current version of Ironman seems to ...

AI spawning units??

Playing the Ironman (T1) scenario as Allies and enjoying it. AndyMac had the Japanese take Coal Harbour (on Vancouver Island) right at the start. Odd strategy I thought as I was able to hammer it from the air from the get-go (finally some realistic training for all those bomber units Stateside ...

Will campaigns started in version 1127 still be playable with the (soon to be released) update?

Re: New! v1127 Public Beta Available

I'd also like to add my sincere thanks to the team and ask a question. Will AndyMac's various Ironman scenarios be part of the patch and have they been updated at all?

The game engine is getting some of the updates so if you are running the 1127 version engine and select the Ironman scenario ...

Re: AI Axis Air Attacks

I'm at July 42 in my campaign game against the Axis AI and its air force has been almost completely dormant, with the exception of the pre-programmed (I assume) attacks on turn 1. With the exception of a few battles in the far north and far south, it doesn't even do much ground support. Very strange.

Re: UNIT TRANSFER FROM NATIONAL RESERVE THEATRE BOX

2.Some Units in the Reserve TB are SU (Support Units), those do not show up "on MAP" but rather get attached to the higherst HQ you have (Soviets: STAVKA).

In my Soviet campaign game my SUs from strategic reserve never seem to go to STAVKA. Instead they go to random army HQs across the map. Is ...

Re: Soviet unit creation list

Thanks for the graphic! Still a bit confused (or just stupid). The highlighted part seems to imply that corps are available in Sep 41 and more in Jan 42. I'm at Feb 42 in my campaign game and no corps are available (except cavalry). Or is the correct date lower down on the graphic (June 42)?

Re: Soviet unit creation list

Have a similar question as the OP. Can't find any dates in the manual or editor. Just want to know when Soviets can begin building rifle corps? Even an approximate date (early/mid/late 1942, etc.) would be helpful!

Multiplayer login issue

Bought the game off Steam about a week ago to play a game with my buddy. He setup a game but when I logged into multiplayer this morning, it showed no challenges (from him or anyone, just blank). Tried logging in a few hours later and it says my login is successful but won't even take me to the ...

Infantry Equipment Question

I'm at level 3 on infantry equipment research (playing CSA). I can upgrade all my divisions and corps, but none of my smaller units (regiments, brigades) will upgrade. Is this working as designed or do I have a glitch? The manual doesn't seem to specify a size limit on units for upgrading, unless I ...

Really strange. In my PBEM (late Dec 1941) my O20, with the same skipper, has put one torp in a Japanese CL and sunk a large AK carrying fuel.[&:]

RE: Semi OT: James D. Hornfischer ("Last Stand Of The Tin Can Sailors", "Neptune’s Inferno" died

This is terrible news. His books were just superb. Neptune's Inferno is by far my favorite account of the Guadalcanal campaign. The audio version of this book is fantastic. Listened to it many times. God bless him and his family.
