RE: Progress

<t> I have never been worried about this game being "vapor-ware". The past games that you have produced have been superlative in the genre of operational war games. Take your time, develop it to the point that you feel content to release it, and I'll buy it when it is available. Til then, no harping ...

RE: Norm Koger's Distant Guns: Russo-Japanese War sets sail

<t> I have DG and have been having a blast with it! It started out badly, but SES has been very responsive to fixing the major show stoppers. Now at v1.017 the game plays pretty solidly and I haven't had an major complaints with it. There are still minor things that need to be fixed, and items that ...

I've been following the development of GalCiv2 with some interest, but I'm still on the fence about pre-ordering it.

<t> I am in Jan 44 of the '43 BTR campaign as the Allies. I love both of these monster games and would be playing them, warts and all, even if Matrix hadn't inked a deal. Since there is a deal then there is hope that some of these things can be addressed.<br/>

RE: ** Matrix to Publish Talonsoft Games **

<t> This is very good news as I own (and still play) all of the titles listed, save the TOAW series. I even have kept my old Win95 (266 Mhz [X(]) machine running just so I could continue playing the BattleGround series (I could never get them to run on any of my other machines).<br/>

RE: Teaching in the Navajo Nation (Update)

<t> True, the traditional wargame/simulation doesn't cut it in a small classroom. Too bad, I think that some of the students would actually feel a part of history if they took on the role of a brigade, division or corps commander at Gettysburg, or in any other battle and play it through. It would ...

<t> The southwest is a really neat place to live! There are so many beautiful places to see and it is so rich in history that it is small wonder that New Mexico's motto is the Land of Enchantment. It is amazing how vast this country is and it is very easy to lose the sense of scale.<br/>

RE: Shelby Foote, Novelist and Historian, Dies at 88

It is sad! I think he has done more than most contemporary writers to put a personal face on the American Civil War. He was an excellent raconteur and quite able to bring the war to life in a way that most people today could understand.

I loved EiA and this is great news! [8D] It is even going to support multiple players on the internet and LAN, which will really bring the Machiavellian diplomacy of the period to life.

<B><s>[B]</s>So how is it that a "Panzermeinen" can be used in an attack? It seems strange to me that you can use a mine to engage the enemy. Yet this is exactly what my German infantry did to the Brits last ...
