Blockade Port not working in PBEM

I'm about eight turns into a pbem, playing as the Union. For some reason, my fleets will not blockade ports they have been ordered to blockade. I have blocked ports several times in the single player game, so I know how to do it.

We are playing the July scen.

RE: seeking opponent

<r> Okay.<br/>
<br/>
Since it will be a slower game, we should go with Standard Campaign--which will reduce the length of the game at least a few turns and will get us into the action right away. Please post your email, which nation you wish to play, if you prefer Southern Emancipation on or off ...

seeking opponent

<t> Im looking for an opponent to play with pretty much all options enabled, including...<br/>
<br/>
1. Random Generals, hidden stats<br/>
2. I don't care if Southern Emancipation is on or off, so I will let my opponent decide<br/>
3. Prefer July start rather than standard campaign, but will ...

Thank you, I hope it is helpful, however; it was me who wrote the post, not Tanika.<br/>
<br/>
Also, it does appear that I may have been wrong about the way telegraphs work. Manual as well as roll over tips in game are a little confusing on this, hopefully a dev will ...

Here is how to play (advice for the lost)

<t> This thread will be a basic guide on how to play the game. It is meant to be a simple guide that tells the unitiated the basic flow of the game. It will have a few installations and hopefully others will contribute.<br/>

RE: How many turns per year?

<t> CSA doesn't get the victory point after 65 because Europe is intervening, they get it because they have lasted long enough to start being recognized diplomatically by powers of Europe. After four years of fighting, CSA starts to look like a real nation if it is still going strong.<br/>

been awhile since ive wanted a game this bad

<t> I've been checking the site regularly all week waiting for the game, and at last I am downloading it. Those aars did a lot to generate all the excitement I think and I hope the game sells a ton. I was so eager for Forge, that I played a full game of Crown of Glory today and actually had a great ...

<t> Original Poster here,<br/>

If I see that 1.02 patch for Crown of Glory, then I will pick up a copy of the sequel. I certainly don't expect perfection, it just seems like a long time ago that we were told the patch was virtually finished with only the installer holding it back.<br/>

I don't think so

<t> As excited as I would like to be about an American Civil War take on the Crown of Glory--I can't help but feel that a promise has been broken by this crowd. We've been waiting for patch 1.2 for quite some time and at this point I don't think it is coming. Now they've announced a sequel, but ...

RE: Scenarios

Trey

With the hundreds of user scenerios out there of variable quality, your name on the scenerio is like a brand name for quality. If I see your name in the briefing I know the scenerio will be well designed and feel comfortable going ahead and downloading and playing.

RE: a question about unit density

wow, thanks for the fast reply, and so late at night too (at least where I am)

I have always wondered this, and the manual isn't extremely clear on this. Man, gonna really have to watch those unit densities now.

a question about unit density

<t> I've been playing ACOW for years and have always wondered--do unit density multipliers affect units when attacking, or only when the densly packed hex is attacked.<br/>
<br/>
Im talking about the little yellow and red dots that appear when you stack too many units in one hex. I know that if ...

RE: Popeye - WITP Edition

<t> Maybe we don't like this kind of propaganda today because we believe that in a transparent democracy the truth will do instead. Citizens of a Democracy shouldn't require a racist cartoon to whip them up into a frenzy, they should be spoken to as adults.<br/>
