What's with the low vis games?

Just thought of it and can't try it cause I'm at work, but what happens if you run the vis up to 200 hexes and the spotting ability way down to like 30%. Will this produce realistic results?

What's with the low vis games?

<t>I have been a pilot for over 25 years and now teach instrument flight instructors for the USAF, so I have a lot of experience with low vis situations. As already pointed out vis and spotting are related but not the same. When the weather man determines the visibility, in all but very low vis ...

What is an OV-10 Bronco?

<t>This is a reply to Vetkin's question. The short answer is that its a twin engine turboprop aircraft once used by the USAF for forward air control (FAC). Yes, it can carry bombs, but was usually armed with just smoke rockets and the 4 M60 machine guns. Some other countries do use it like a fighter ...

Move and Fire Realism

<t>I appreciate the response. A comment from W.B. , kind of like the 4 star Gen. commenting on something the Lt. wrote. Several good points Leo. I didn't realize your op fire was cut by movement. I also agree 3rd shot accuracy should be pretty good. Yes, there is an accuracy penalty of approx. 50 ...

Move and Fire Realism

<t>Probably would slow the advance some. SP1 allowed you to fire your 5 shots, then move your full movement allowance; SPWAW cuts your movement for each shot you fire before you move. This is more realistic and did not destroy the dynamics of the game. Subtracting more shots for movement would ...

Move and Fire Realism

<t>The ability of a tank to move its full movement allotment and then fire a slightly reduced number of rounds from the main gun seems unrealistic and rewards unrealistic tactics. For example, if the tank remains stationary it can fire five rounds from the main gun. This would represent the crew ...

H2H and SPWAW divergance

I am concerned about divergance between SPWAW 7.1 and H2H. I noticed the obo's for SP 7.1 are being revised as are the H2H OBO's. These two games will continue to diverge with each revision. I would like to see a SP 7.2 which combines these revisions back to one game. What are the chances?

Changes to the A0 unit

<t>Wow, What a respone. Several points to make:<br/>
1) Deselecting on the buy screen will not work, although if there is ever a SPWAW 7.2 this would be a nice option. Upgrading the A0 unit after the first battle works poorly. The low armor command values of the formally infantry A0 unit lower his ...

Changes to the A0 unit

I am developing a small campaign. I would like the A0 unit to be armor instead of infantry on the initial purchase of the core units. Is it possible to do this? How?

Deployed forces for campaigns

I am trying to convert some senairos I have developed into a small capmaign. I would like the support units to already be picked and deployed on the map. Several of the provided campains do this, but I can't seem to make it happen. How do they do it?
