I've just done a little research and found that transports with 99 exp and those with 10 exp have seemingly equal probabilites of catching a torpedo. Getting torpedoed looks to be good for about 3 exp pts.

Thanks for the inside view. Nothing tells the story like the actual game map. A 5000 pt cushion and only 2 1/2 months to go makes you the heavy favorite here. Security issues prevent deeper comment

Now Drex, we've all committed a strategic lunacy or two. By sharing yours, you can help the lesser brethren and begin your own healing process. And don't think I don't know what CA Mogami and friends are up to.

If you set the convoy to computer control before choosing its destination, it becomes a Routine Convoy. If you choose a destination first, and then set to computer control, It becomes a CS (continuous supply) to that destination.

Tell us all about it. Start at the beginning, then go on to the middle, and proceed to the end. Omit no detail, however petty.

I was hoping the space shuttles might have better flying characteristics than their simulators. Maybe a simulator with buffalo wings might work. Either way, slinging one of the monsters from the catapult ought to discourage boarders.

Someone in England had exactly that idea. The "Save HMS Vengeance Society" or some such. The deal fell through (lack of cash). If we just sit tight and play coy we can get this ultimate party boat for a song.

We can arm it with NASA Shuttles (cheap soon); the catapult and potatoes will work for close-in engagements.

The bomber group will generally attack the enemy unit with the highest assault point rating, kill some men in that unit and raise
its disruption level. You can effectively nullify one enemy unit per day with air to ground attacks.

<t>The game designers (may God have mercy on them) built a lot<br/>
of parameters into the the aircraft vs. aircraft combat model. They then tweaked and tweaked, until they despaired of further progress. Certainly numbers can be tweaked some more, but never to everyone's (anyone's?) satisfaction ...

The game assumes unlimited supply and fuel for Japan, not you or I. I also have reservations about the bottomless depots at
Brisbane and Noumea. I will let the scholars dazzle us with their light on these points.

On the matter of USN bias: You have all swallowed the camel
of Japanese infinite supply and fuel, yet are straining at every gnat you can find.
