Don't worry about the exact numbers in the circles. Instead, focus on keeping your axes of advance along railroads and roads. This is ...

RE: Artillery inconsistency

<t> Yep, this is purely a scenario design issue. Not all designers choose to do it this way. You will find the same thing with air groups....with short and long range fighters mixed together. A few can reach 50 hexes, while the bulk only reach 10. If the battle happens at 11 hexes, you will get ...

RE: Review @ Out of Eight

<r> The beauty of TOAW 3 is that you can change the background to almost anything you want (see attached)...and the challenge (as I have been doing this a lot lately) is finding a set of graphics which work with the large variety of land features (roads/cities/etc.), and also work well on a variety ...

How about sending me the first turn of Road to Rimini? It is pretty small (10 turns), and the Allies have the advantage (you will be the allies). It is in the WW2- Med folder. You will get plenty of chance to attack!

RE: Enjoying this and some questions

<r> 1. Artillery is just like a normal unit if you attack an adjacent hex. It takes much more damage because of this. It is usually best to protect them in the rear, or if they only have a range of 1 dig them in on the front line (for an attack) or use the T reserve setting so that you can move them ...

Mu Ha Ha Ha - Any Takers?

<r> I'm sure some of you know that I am somewhat of a veteran of TOAW, but just to show I'm a good sport I'll play the disadvantaged side of whatever scenario you prefer. I would like to keep the scenarios rather smallish to start however. Once some of the designers start plugging in some of the new ...

<t> I should also mention that in addition to Ralph, we have had a back room leadership change...and now Jamiam is going to be heading up the TOAW Dev group. I've got too many irons in the fire, and TOAW deserves someone who can give it their full attention. Jam is the perfect choice! I'm not sure ...
