RE: New American Civil War Game coming to Steam

<t> Looks like they are experiencing a bit of a delay. Supposed to be released as early access today but nothing, which is a first for me.<br/>
<br/>
I watched a lot of early videos. Unfortunately some of the tactical realtime battle mechanics look a bit simplistic, but the strategic side looks ...

RE: New American Civil War Game coming to Steam

<r> I've watched all the videos I could find on this title. Philippe Thibault had some glowing praise of its gameplay on their blog:<br/>

I'm getting wiped by a minor faction

<t> Turn 6? They just swarmed me with motor bikes and cut off supplies to my troops who were 4 hexes from my main city. I've restarted approximately 10 times previous to this due to patches experimentation etc. I didn't see this coming.<br/>
<br/>
Not complaining, just amazed how many troops they ...

RE: A time of Effiency lol

Well I write for a living so every spelling error grates me on my OCD-bone. I'd love to have the opportunity to edit the manual.

A time of Effiency lol

I think some more spell-checking and editing is in order. I'm enjoying the game though.

RE: Regime - no portrait available

I have a Star Trek redshirt from Halloween 20 years ago I could put on, but that’s not going to inspire my troops lol.

p73 of the manual seems to indicate there should be a portrait. I guess it’s a bug?

RE: Will UI scaling be further improved? (glacial scrolling)

I just installed the beta and am now running 4K with 200% scaling. Seems to do the trick.

At least there’s a solution. I essentially gave up on distant worlds due to UI scaling problem.

Regime - no portrait available

When I click on the regime tab at the bottom, I have only a question mark where I would expect a portrait of my supreme leader. Is this correct.

RE: Will UI scaling be further improved? (glacial scrolling)

I have to +1. I too have a pretty fast computer and a decent, if not great in 2020, graphics card. Scaling the UI slows the game a lot, and it increases the higher the scaling setting. Makes it very frustrating to play.

Steam has Company of Heroes II for free. I’ve never played it but free is free.

NVM - fixed it. Set it to run as administrator seems to have fixed it.

RE: Returning player from many moons ago install issues

<t> I don't mean to hijack this thread but I just tried installing on a Yoga 720 (1080 display). I set the switches -px1920 -py1080 and the display seems to be shifted down and to the right. I don't see the entire game options box and when a game is started I'm only viewing part of the map. Really ...

RE: All things Football (soccer) related

<t> Arsenal supporter here. This game could go either way. Our defense is fragile and if they don’t cope we are done. This is the most capable front line we’ve had in 15 years tho. We can score goals, but we can give em up too. <br/>

On the flip side it has to be hard to focus if you’re on ...

You can go to the Matrix support page, log in and re-download it. When installing enter your product code, which you should have received via email (searching for storesupport@matrixgames.com in your email application should find it).

RE: NI Scenario 1 - Flickering Contacts

<t> Latest try I switched strategies and managed to kill everything with no losses. Nonetheless SOSUS doesn't seem to give much accuracy in spotting. As a result, I watched my Nimrod's and Orion's constantly switch course as they made their way to the patrol zone, eventually landing on the correct ...

<t> I'm bumping. I had the same experience. I was about to post an almost identical question in the forum, as I did the same thing as you - tried the 1st mission 3 times, had lousy results, and watched a playthrough on youtube. That video (2-3 years old) has steady contacts with almost no variance ...

RE: Running on a Mac

I've run CMANO on my 2011 iMac (3.4ghz I7/6970m) and it runs ok but only for smaller scenarios. It flies on my new Ryzen though. I'm a version behind in parallels I think.
