P-38 Torpedo Bomber

<r>I was reading the thread about Aussie Beaufighters using torpedos and recalled that the P-38 was capable of carrying torpedos. I did a search and came up with a pretty cool website. The website is a love-affair with the Lightining so I am sure the author is pretty biased as to how effective the P ...

Hijack

Instead of hijacking this thread about the Beaufighter I made a new thread about the P-38 with some additional info.

Black Cat Raiders

<t>Has anyone ever been able to use the Catalina effectivley in a night attack role in UV? I know it was done historically, but I am unsure of the specifics (squadron #, tactics, real life effectivness) I tried a google search but all that came up was the book by Richard Knott. <br/>

P-38

I may be wrong but I remember reading somewhere that the P-38 was capable of carrying a torpedo, doubt it ever did in combat.

Base Initialization, what does it do?

I've searched the forums, the manual, the patch readmes, maybe I didn't look hard enough. I don't know what the option for Japanese/Allied Base Initialization does, sorry for resorting to a new post, but I honestly looked hard...honest.

Thanks

<t>While I suppose the teeny strike forces attacking the enemy could be due to the reasons you stated, I always figured it was due to strikes being broken up due to poor navigation, getting lost etc. It was pretty common and historical for a/c strike groups to get seperated in bad weather and end up ...

agreed

Yup,

I recieved my copy on monday and most of my spare time has been put to conquering the south pacific. Oh what fun! There are so many strategic possibilities, can't imagine what controlling the whole PTO will be like!

Well worth the money.

You could download an emulator and rom, but you have to own the game to do it legally. It is much better on SNES, at least so I've heard.

P.T.O by Koei

<t>Still haven't got UV yet, thought I'd participate by asking a little quesiton. I figure most of you guys have played Gary Grigsby's Pacific War, but I was also wondering if anyone else here remembers the more recent P.T.O and P.T.O 2 by Koei. The games were on PC SNES and Sega. I know they aren't ...

Hey man I agree

<t>Yeah, I agree too, I will buy it from Matrix Games Website, just not yet. School is just starting up, and I've got to settle into my new place and all. I know the wargaming scene. I bought Combat Mission from Battlefront a few weeks after it came out. Money matters though, and I'll have to wait ...

thanks

<t>Thanks guys for the replies and help, I'll probably order it next week, not sure form where yet though. I've been looking at UV for a long time and I'm sure I'll enjoy it. I usually don't buy games on a whim unless they are in the bargain bin for $10 and its something I've heard of before. Anyway ...

Where to buy?

<t>Hey,<br/>
<br/>
I'm one of those guys that doesn't like to buy stuff off of the internet, if I can help it. I've been looking around for this game at some local stores but can not find it. (Did see Korsun Pocket at EB). Did any of you not get this game off the Matrix Games website, or not off the ...
