RE: 1.0.4.9 Games crashes, bug linked to World Annihilator

I get the same thing.  Looks like the patch broke something.

RE: World Annihilator

I found one and retired it.  It yielded a research bonus in armor.  Is this the best thing to do with it, since using it has such dire consequences?

RE: Is it worth it?

<t> I was about to buy AE when I discovered that they removed the computer-assisted theater control that was present in the original version.&nbsp; I don't want to spend ten hours on each move because I have to give orders to every unit in India and China;&nbsp; I was happy commanding central/south ...

RE: Why I probably wont be buying Admirals Edition

<t> I have enjoyed many hours of WITP, but I am not sure I am willing to pay a full game price for and expansion unless they bother to improve the terrible looking fonts in the information pop-up panels.&nbsp; Sure, the improvements are great, but the game looks dated.&nbsp; I am wondering why it is ...

RE: Change resoultion

Is there a mod to make the crappy looking popup info boxes like the TF screen look any better?&nbsp; They look awful on a big monitor.&nbsp;

I would love to see some scenarios from the Italian campaign. Why not the whole thing?

<t>TAO is The Ardennes Offinsive (version 2 I think). It does not run on Win XP. TAO (3?) comes on the Korsun disk, so you are actually getting a second battle. <br/>
<br/>
I saw TAO 1 on a demo disk years ago, bought the game and loved it. It was saddenning to read on their web page that they were ...

<t>From what I read by you in the locking thread, it would certainly up the realism. If this were to be implemented, the game would really need a facility to highlight the entire group the same way it does divisions. One troubling aspect of it is the combat system. It is difficult enough to get good ...

<t>I figured it was a Grognard thing, but I just wanted to make sure. Restricting the artillery fire to support of units only in the same formation sounds like a daunting task. I consider myself lucky just to maintain any degree of divisional integrity, so my hat is off to you. <br/>

I am not ...

Locking Groups

<t>What is the purpose of locking groups? I realize that it allows you to cycle only through the units belonging to a particular corps, but beyond that is there any advantage to it? I am not sure, but I do not think there is any integrity bonus above the divisional level. Was this feature included ...

<t>CGW gave this game a 5-star review, and they don't hand those out like candy. I bought TAO when it first came out and thought it was the best hex-based wargame I ever played. KP is even better, and I was so glad to find out that the TAO system was not abandoned. For a time, I thought I would ...
