Nefarious, I'll be honest--- Getting WWIIO to run well on your machine is an UP-hill battle.

That's a shortcoming of their documentation, and a very REAL obstacle for newcomers. Solutions are only a question away, though, on their boards, or in-game.

<t>Les, I'm about to get in-game myself. If you play Allied Brit, you can click on one of the radio channels that aren't taken already & once you do, you'ss see a cursor appear in the radio bar. Type "wheelz" (no quotes) and you will effectively tune ME as a channel.<br/>

I'll answer any ...

<t>David, you should've seen what we did to the open beta of Second Life. LOL! We took it over, literally. The devs built us our own area just to watch us and our military approach at coordination & dominance.<br/>

It was to the point that IGN.com, in their preview of it, called us out as a ...

<br/>
Something like that new screen Rafter did with the game that was the WWIIO in bold with a smaller Matrix logo to the top-middle-left would ro><. Something similar for the shirtpocket.<br/>

That was a really good time. <E>:)</E> I'm not much of a tanker..... well, I'm <I><s></s>pretty<e></e></I> good I guess, but every now & then I get lucky. I'm a LOT better at flying now, and I'm pretty proud of that considering how tough it is against the Axis ...

<r>Yes, I was at the Babbages as the UPS guy delivered the box. I didn't join the Third until a couple months later. I just looked around for about 10 minutes & said "Pfft!" I thought I'd wasted my money.<br/>

Looking back on that now, I just laugh. It's hands-down the best game I've ever ...

<t>Hmmm... good question. The game mechanics, however, require you to work in large groups to be successful, and in anticipation of that, we always fight with the Brigade on our ops.<br/>
<br/>
The Brigade spawning is still a "soon" feature, but I have little doubt they'll have that in shape. They ...

<r>Good deal, Dave!<br/>
<br/>
He's home sick today. I'm not kidding you, either.... there was a promotion in the early summer where they offered an official WWIIO t-shirt in exchange for (get this): pre-paying for the game for a <U><s></s>YEAR<e></e></U>. We're talking $129, here.<br/>

WWIIO absolutely blew lung butter when it was released. I personally dumped the game for the next 2 months after release. I was talked into trying it again after a patch, and then I had one of ...
