RE: Missing money

So I take it from the lack of a reply from anybody that my situation is either unique, not unique at all or that nobody other than Peter Why and myself actually bother to play the game over the net?

Biochem Beatings

<t> Once again Peter Why and I decided on another bit of Random mech madness. Thanks to Pete once more for doing most of the donkey work and trying to make heads and tails out of my notes (my thoughts are between these mostly) and congratulations on a resounding thrashing he gave to my team [:D]<br ...

Missing money

<t> Peter Why and I now have a few battles under our belts from playing over the net but everytime we finish a battle Pete gets to see how much money is earned per squad but I do not (pete hosts pretty much all the time as things go wrong when I host [:(]) All I get is a big blank black space where ...

RE: So, what is next?

<t> Funnily enough with the demise of the Babylon 5 wars game, Full Thrust not doing well and Battlefleet Gothic being a bit too simple minded for me and my friend I decided to put pen to paper to design one. I will bore you with the details some other time though [>:]<br/>

Sounds fun, is this purely me vs you or can we organize a lil knockout competition with some others? Would be good to fill up the battles forum [:D]

RE: Gigan-AT

<t> I know there are 2 different titans and I even know their names funnily enough [:'(]<br/>
<br/>
I also have not disagreed with you that they are likely to last for very long against a database titan, criticals or no criticals. Nor for that matter that they could possibly do with a redsign ...

RE: Gigan-AT

<t> I think the point for that CC titan is to do a DFA attack thus putting your opponent to the floor and/or injure the pilot so they cannot shoot for sooty (take a wild guess at the real word I mean for that one [;)]).<br/>

No I agreed with you that they were not great designs, I personally ...

RE: Gigan-AT

<t> Although I would not class myself as a great designer or even a decent one I do sort of have to agree and disagree with Thorgrim on this one. They are not how I would design them, still I do not have to use them so who cares, but I can see the logic behind the designs... I think.<br/>

We are here... honest!

<t> Peter Why and myself have played a few games against, or helping, each other but due to me being a naughty boy and forgetting [:(] to post the reports our last battle will be our first post. Thanks to Peter Why for a good fun battle and for making sense of my jumbled notes on the battle and ...

Think how many maps would be needed for a 7 map campaign that would branch for victory and defeat. First map branches to 2, those 2 to 4, and so on. Is that really worth it? Wouldn't you at some point just use the exact same map with ...

8 titans in reserve means a huge upkeep... <br/>
And there's this thing called neural sense, and these devices called neural bridges, to command medium+ titans. Ever heard of them? Engineers and technicians don't necessarily have ...

RE: you know what I'd love to see...

<t> Well utterly defeated teams, if fully grown, will still have at best 8 titans in reserve and perhaps a small handful of jocks who survived by ejecting. I cannot see no reason why (in a roleplay sense) the minor engineers and technicians (very unlikely the team does all its own repairs without ...

RE: you know what I'd love to see...

Does anybody here think it is worth having the option to make campaigns branching, if it is not too difficult to code that is? I personally would much prefer the being able to fight different missions if I badly lose a battle.

RE: you know what I'd love to see...

<t> Is it possible for the campaigns to branch? If you win you get to assault the enemies main camp, if you lose you have to fight a rearguard action as your main assault force scampers over a bridge to safety or some such. Just in the interests of making a story line that can see you fail as well ...

RE: Recon Titan Design Bundle

<t> I like your idea of a totally unarmed titan. Theoretically you could enhance the titans ability to fight with better systems at the cost of lighter armour, though still allowing it to be heavily armoured for its class, as long as the arms and leg armour is maximised due to the damage they will ...

RE: prices

<t> It's not bad, it'sjust harder than your average RTS game. In RTS games being able to field more units than your enemy and click your mouse at great speed gives you victory, usually, unlike this game where you have to plan your actions or face certain doom.<br/>

If you can actually count ...

RE: Crazy idea: comments and/or ridicule welcome

<t> So a spotter or the GMH titan use the SL as a BG to help him hit a target he would usually have trouble to hit if he uses GMHs, maybe half the range penalty for a succesful lock would be a good idea?<br/>
<br/>
I was talking about GMEs which are relatively close range anyway. A spotter could ...
