Re: Screen resolution

Problem solved! A bit a tweaking and several re-starts seem to have done the trick.

Screen resolution

Hello,

I've installed WitW on a new computer running a 4480x2520 screen (Windows 11 on the newest iMac running Parallels). I've tried all the recommandations in terms of game compatibilty listed in these forums over the years to no avail - text is still garbled and all over the place making the ...

Re: Hierarchy Module Document

I actually despaired of fixing that last bug, it was so difficult. To see how deep it was nested, the attached spreadsheet shows the path, using the de-bugger, to get to the bust:

Each step required stepping into a function to get to the ultimate problem. The spreadsheet shows that it was nested ...

Bob,
Will it be possible for non-members of the development team to take part in the Beta test?

Re: Hierarchy Module Document

That's most excellent news and welcome perspectives for TOAW; fulsome thanks Bob.
As soon as the instructions for converting scenarios (I reckon with a TOAW IV version as a starting point?) are out, I'll dust off and playtest my 'Race to the Sea 1914' scenario.
Looking very much forward to it.

Re: *Bob Cross* Questions about N.Africa game settings

We are about to start a new N.Africa campaign PBEM and I was wondering on the best game settings since its an older scenario.
ie: New bridge rules on or off? , New density rules on or off?, New mud and snow rules? New flanking rules? etc.
Please advise so we can have the best experience with it ...

Design bug in Sino-Japanese War 1937-1945?

Greetings,
Currently in PBEM play of said scenario and my co-player noticed that the density penalty warning is on even for a single unit. Turns out the scenario briefing states it runs at 20 km per hex while the actual scale is 10 km per hex, hence the density warning.
Don't know if the designer ...

Looking for a PBEM game

Greetings all,
Returning old hand here, looking for a pbem game. I'm running TOAW IV patched up to the latest 4.1.0.40, medium size and length scenario preferably, flexible as to sides. I'm still a bit rusty but I reckon I should be able to offer a decent challenge.
All best,

Re: Limited attack

In limited attack mode, your attacking units don't advance in the attacked hex, even if enemy units are made to retreat or are eliminated. There are instances where this can prove advantageous, e.g. when adjacent hexes are strongly held by the enemy and you risk being decisively counter-attacked if ...
