<r> Even though I have yet to see the manual, I can instantly understand the frustration with the two column format.<br/>

The clarity of the information presented, or the lack of it, I can't judge. <LINK link="http://www.matrixgames.com/default.asp?URL=http%3A//www.matrixgames.com/Support ...

Is Napoleonic Grogism needed?

<r> Ok, my background is probably typical of a lot of gamers... Started with SPI and AH titles way back in the day, and am now mostly a computer gamer.<br/>

I cut my teeth on SPI's Napoleon at Waterloo, and have played AH's War & Peace, some of the other SPI operational titles (the ...

RE: Festung Germania?

<r> Pretty subjective view here, but I agree that the "Fortress Germania" thing doesn't <I><s></s>feel<e></e></I> right to me. Perhaps the only way to do it would be an entirely different set of victory conditions that made the WA casualty conscience...as in they could bust right in if they ...

RE: serial number location?

<t> I understand the need for such things as an anti-piracy measure, but as one who could probably hide is own Easter eggs and be genuinely puzzled when trying to finding them, I always write the number on the disc with a Sharpie. Probably not the best solution, since if the disc was lost or stolen ...

RE: livin in a dream world

<t> I don't know if GGWaW has that touch that will make an emotional connection with gamers that often defies explanation. There is an element of "good old days" nostalgia that creeps in when comparing the computer games of today with yesteryear's cardboard and paper sims, or even early computerized ...

RE: Is Festung W.Germany too strong - and why the fort there and not Berlin?

<t> Peter F makes a good point. If we say that it would have made more sense for a last stand in the West, than we can also say that the anti German Partisans should be toned down because any sensible insane despot bent on military world domination would have treated the locals better.<br/>

RE: Why is Berlin relatively unimportant.

Good point, but one could argue that not defending Berlin as a vital asset is a gamey situation by itself.

Perhaps the penalties agains Germany should kick in if they don't retake Berlin by the end of the next turn?

RE: Patch 1.1 requests

<t> I'd like an auto end of turn report, something that could be outputted to another format, like a word or excel doc. If it would point out by region the unused resources for that turn, that would be great!<br/>

Also, being able to get a chance of surprise on first turn attacks that are ...

RE: Play balance
