RE: where is the russian IL2?

This is one of the bugbears I have, the specialisation. The usual law of unforseen circumstances where added features reduce variability in game design.

<t> Yes the same David Irving who in a legal judgement had the following said about him.<br/>
<br/>
On this count Mr Justice Gray was unequivocal and damning: Irving was not a dispassionate researcher, but a 'pro-Nazi polemicist'. <br/>

I've never thought of Irving as anything other than a ...

<t> Why can't you implement the A&A solution which I liked. I also don't know why WAllied troops aren't allowed in Soviet/Chinese territory. I know Stalin rejected the offers of deploying air wings in the Caucasus in 1942, but it was a feasable event, probably more so tham some of the other events ...

RE: Evasion Exploit Biggest Problem with the Game

<t> dapamdg has hit a good point here, if you cap research into any single tech to say 3 RP's, then getting way above world standard would be time prohibitive. I feel this would also reflect reality, the throwing of infinite resources at a problem does NOT ever produce an infinitely better result ...

RE: Evasion Exploit Biggest Problem with the Game

<t> This counter tech is key, my view is that if you ever get 2 ahead, it should be possible say for minimal reseach to leap to one behind, but not level - make that cost a bit more. This has to some degree to apply to counter tech. You can ignore tech, but you will spend a few turns always slightly ...

RE: Is air power too strong against ground units??

<t> I read Raydudes post and it was eloquently put, but missed our point. Airpower apperas to be too effective when attacking land units on their own. Attack with air/land/sea combined and fine, but we have the wholesale hoovering of whole army corps by airpower (I've done it myself as Germany) and ...

Is air power too strong against ground units??

<r> I know I started this thread back in testing reading early AAR's, but I still get frustrated at the power of aircraft to clear whole countries of their garrison to allow a "walk in" invasion by the regimental mascot and the pipe band. All the Sealion strategies are based on this type of ...

RE: Evasion Exploit Biggest Problem with the Game

<r> I think that the complaints about the tech generally are NOT complaining about the inclusion of technology in the game, but in the way it is implemented and the EFFECT of that implementation on the game. <br/>
It does need tweaking in that in reality, no tech is independant, in that if I invent ...

Why do we assume he's disappointed because he can't get into it. I have become more disillusioned since I got to know how to play the game and found the "gamey" side of the system and tech issues have put me off playing.

Tanks and Arty to increase evasion & combat, fighters, evasion & combat strength. These can easily be close to completion before the invasion. (Taking a long view),<br ...
