do i have to down load 1.20 patch first or can i just download 1.21 and get i.20 wit 1.21 patch please help

first i have a unit in a base ,in the same base i have a transport plane . i hit tranport on the plane does it transport to other base on thaT turn or does it pick up the unit a turn , i can,t get them to tranport, please help .same thing with parchute units
