RE: So tell us a little about yourself!

<t> AW1 and BB57: I was born in Sioux Falls, SD, but spent most my early years in Sioux City, IA. Back in the day we used to play football against Sioux Falls O'Gorman (sp) and in Omaha, Boy's Town. Married my high school sweet heart and promply joined the Navy in 66 as it was my turn....third ...

Miller just handed me my a$$

But I'm somewhat masochistic. Anybody for a game? Any scenario; any rules. However I would like at least one turn or more everyday just to keep me interested.

RE: uncommon carrier clash

<t> Wow! What a fight!&nbsp; In the past I have tried to keep my USN CV's south east and hiding behind Noumea's air cover.&nbsp; Otherwise they can get caught in Brisbane. Plus, if the CV's do get hit near OZ, the planes are stuck there.<br/>

RE: a USN commander (ret.) overflows to the IJN

<t> Loading problem drove me up the wall! Took days to get the troops loaded? They'd start to load, and sail with nobody embarked? Then had to send em' back to try and load again. If I landed the second wave much sooner I think the game would have been better. Not that I would have won, would have ...

It's been said before but don't make it another WinP! Which is too invovled and too long. A good UV player can develop a turn in minutes for fast turn arounds.<br/>

Surface engagement & bombardments

<t> Couple of questions/observations:<br/>
1. I know that hexes are 60x60 miles, but it seems that two opposing surface forces moving through the same hex might engage. I have tried numerous and it seems the program will not let it happen?<br/>
<br/>
2. I find it difficult to keep a bombardment ...

You are absolutely correct. Look up USS Stark (FFG 31) attack in 87? And if you want to know the real truth I'll tell you. I know, as I was XO on another ship which was there at the time.l

RE: The noose tightens

<t> Great AAR guys thank you both. Tocaff...questions? I'm playing the USN in much the same scenario. I hold Nevea and am building it up fast with a huge infusion of Seabee's. Date is early January, 43. Both the KB and US CVTF's are undamaged, and both navy's have suffered little loses.<br/>

Tocaff: Only one to beat you in an auto victory? Jeez, does that make me famous? LOL

Not sure why you have to take PM to hold OZ? Planes won't fly without supplies...I'll starve them out.
