RE: the release date

<t> I believe that the only answer to the question that has been submitted is that the question is not relevant to the apparent root of the inquiry. AE just needs more [&o] so in that context I want to thank all of you oldsters that I remember and of course anyone that was not has never or will ...

RE: Ex Battleships

Yeah I am a Heinlien fan, I have read over 40 of his books, most more than once. So in neither Scenario you bring Utah back if she isn't sunk? I was wonderign what you woudl do with her if she survives PH attack.

RE: Effects of Air Losses on Autovictory

<t> Just a quick note on the P-47 (My Favorite Plane). In WWII the Jug had flown 546,000 combat sorties at the very low loss rate of under 0.7%. Found in Aircraft of WWII by Stewart Wilson. This equates to losses of 3,822 air craft. There were a total of 15,683 planes of all versions produced during ...

RE: Ex Battleships

<t> Are you looking at making them big AA support vessels? What kind and number of AA weapons are you putting on them if they upgrade? I know that there was a proposal in the 80's to take the Iowa Class BB's and convert them into Air Defense ships. Interesting idea, and I think it would make life ...

RE: Analysis of Naval Gunnery Combat

<t> Hey guys,<br/>
<br/>
I just looked up in the WitP Editors manual what Maneuver is all about. 3.2.1 Maneuver represents the ship's ability to avoid bombs and torpedoes, and is directly related to the length of the ship; the longer it is, the harder it is for the ship to avoid these attacks ...

RE: Analysis of Naval Gunnery Combat

<t> Anyone have any idea if the very high Maneuver ratings for the transports are causing some of the misses, and low hit rates of surface combatants? I wonder if since they have higher maneuver rates than DD's that the big guns cannot track them correctly. I am not sure what the Maneuver value ...

RE: Analysis of Naval Gunnery Combat

<t> I cannot comment on the warship to warship tallys but I saw on the WPO forum that Japanese Merchants had manuver ratings above 50, some as high as 70. I wonder if this is how they are able to get away and or cause the warships to miss so often. If you have medium transports with more ...

RE: Analysis of Naval Gunnery Combat

<t> El Cid, I went to ET "A"School probably 30 years after you and that was the first thing they told us as well. I was in the first Gulf War and I have fixed many things that didn't "Belong" to me. In the mid 90's I was one of two epair Electronics techs in the theater of Qatar, and fixed stuff for ...
