RE: WAW vs HOI/HOI2

<t> The complexity level will be lower in WAW and I would say there will be much less micromanagement then HOI. Paradox Games has been criticized in Reviews for not providing a way to allow the computer to handle the lower level decision making. Matrix provides the complexity but allows the player ...

RE: WITP IN EUROPE?

<r> What do people think of the prospect of a WITP style game for the West Front? Feasible not Feasible... Good points bad points... <br/>
I think 2by3 should get cracking on it! It could possibly be the most amazing West Front gaming experiences of all time if done. Another interesting thing it ...

RE: AI good enough?

I have not been to this forum for a few days and remember a discussion on how long it takes the AI to make a move. How long does it take--a minute, two minutes, longer?

RE: Why was Patton so great?

<t> I am enjoying it also and I am learning so much that I want to study General Patton's career in much more detail than before. I have one comment though (and would especially like Von Rom's and Iron Dukes comments on my comment); no general can pick his opponent; he has to play the cards he is ...

RE: Why was Patton so great?

<t> Montgomery was a good planner and adept at set piece battles but manuver and tactical elan were not his forte. His slow, methodical method of warfare put him at a disadvantage against an agressive enemy like Rommel. Montgomery won at Alamein because of a massive supply advantage over the Germans ...

RE: Who was in the military??

Don't feel bad about your service career, HFO. I was in the Air Force from 1969-1973 in Base Supply/Equipment Management. A lot of guys posting here were regular service in the combat arms. But we all made a contribution to our great nation.

RE: Bless 'em All

Thanks for the post, sprior. I have wanted the complete lyrics to this tune ever since I heard it sung by some GIs in the film "Guadalcanal"(?).
