RE: V1.01 loves AC3Filter

<r> Well, I've been using AC3 for years, too, and haven't seen any other app doing this. <E>:)</E><br/>
<br/>
I did NOT have the issue with V1.00, though, so I'm guessing it's something that happened in the patch.<br/>

P.S.: I had sluggish mouse behavior in V1.00, and this has been cleared ...

Black screen instead of game menu

<r> Hi, all.<br/>
<br/>
When I start to run WitPAE I get to the loading screen with the red bar, but instead of following up with the game menu I'm faced with a black screen. Waiting for 5, 10, 15 minutes doesn't help.<br/>

RE: What scenario do you like the most?

<r> I only managed to squeeze in one serious play so far, as Prussia 1792. I thought I'd be safe after negotiating a defense treaty with both Austria and England, so I dow'ed Saxony. I took their cities, but the Russians decided that I was not playing nice so they stomped me with their army which ...

<t> Some reinforcements are automatically placed. Others that are not appear in the *bottom* window (so it might actually be empty, depending on turn). The list on the left is your list of Army HQ.You can drag/drop unplaced reinforcements directly into army HQs in the left list to save you some time ...

RE: Available PC Football Games

<t> I tried the demo of SAT and while I like the gameplay (and the fact that it has free rosters back till the 1940s), but it seems that it's mostly a match simulator, and offers very little in terms of "dynasty building" or General Manager mode.<br/>

<r>
<QUOTE><s>[quote]</s>I agree there was too much economic development possible in COG. Originally (at least in our in-house testing in the beta stage of development) we tried to ensure that economic development would be held to reasonable levels of GDP growth by balancing the costs of things ...

<QUOTE><s>[quote]</s>So, I can see how in GOA one most really plan well if one does not want his/her attack to lose momentum once achieving an initial break through. In other games, the lose of momentum might have been more handled by the loss of cohesion and reduction of supply as the lines ...

RE: What is about this game that uniquely captures WWI style command?

<t> I think the system for combat (HQs need to declare offensives) is a stroke of genius. While you have plenty at the start of the war you will soon notice how your drive slows down, and you dig in to hold you current positions while you save HQ points for a new major offensive that will hopefully ...

RE: COG Expansion Is Officially Under Way

<t> I did like the idea behind the economy, too, but I think it might be better suited to covering a longer timeframe. Back at the time, restructuring/massively expanding the economy just didn't happen so much. Even the Russians, who massively improved their army between the 1805 defeat and 1812 ...
