RE: Huge Success!! Shanghai is almost recaptured

<t> The frontline in China is a straight line between Wuhan and Shanghai. The supply line to Yunan (500 supplies/day) is absolutely secure. I somehow by accident managed to slip 6 AKs to Camranh Bay, when they mindlessly returned to San Francisco through Malacca strait. These cargo ships are running ...

<t> Hmm.. I think to reconquest Malaya has small strategic value, except we are planning to recapture Dutch East Indies.<br/>

RE: Anyone notice Stranraer and Singapore air units?

It doesn't matter for me whether Stranraer present in WitP or not, although it is somewhat inferior compared to Catalina.

But if it is present in database, it shoud get more reasonable chance of involvement.

If I can't use it why it should be there?

Yes, Canada had them but I think they upgrade as fast as you get them.

Yeah...just like what I said these planes are a waste of database space...as there is no way to downgrade an air unit. CMIIW

Anyone notice Stranraer and Singapore air units?

Can't find any Singapore and Stranraer air unit..although they are exist in database and hundreds of them available on replacement pool.

I think this is a waste of database space...better save it for better aircraft like F8F bearcats...

RE: Where is F8F Bearcat?

Yeah...historically jap slipped unescorted barges hopping island by island during the night hours until they reached Guadalcanal, some of them caught by SBD, wildcats and P-39 airacobra during the daylights. But this did not happen in Dutch East Indies.

<t> Well, in fact historically the Dutch East Indies invasion force was escorted by a number of heavy cruisers, light cruiser and destroyers. Where is F8F Bearcat?

<t> As far as I know F8F Bearcat entered service on May 1945, but I can't find it in the WITP unit arrival schedule nor the aircraft database. forgotten? Perhaps, putting in F-84 Thunderjet in Witp could be a nice touch due to the fact of its first operational flight in early 1946.<br/>
