Spent a couple of days trying to get Distant Worlds to run on a new PC.
Even tried using a VM loaded with Windows 8.1.
All failed.
Eventually, when loading steam onto the new machine tried again, under steam.
It worked but it did need the playmovie change, as per above.

I don't listen to anything while playing.
But here is a suggestion for Allied (early war) or Japanese (late war)

On my wish list is the ability to tell Naval Strike missions to avoid one or more specific hexes - to handle this sort of situation.

What music you listen when playing? - No music and no sound effects.

A6M3 (type 32) didn't have folding wings. A6M3 (type 22) [A6M3a in WitP] did have folding wings.
