RE: Man dies after 50 hours of computer games

<t> That's true, they are especially crazy about Starcraft, they have tv channels only showing SC tournaments. Some months ago I saw a documentary about it, they followed a young Canadian guy around who had moved to Korea because he could make a living there only from playing SC plus he was treated ...

<r> <QUOTE><s>
</s>But I think for unit with *no* engineer squads shock attack is only alternative to reduce fort level.<e>
</e></QUOTE>
That's wrong, a 1 to 1 deliberate attack will destroy one fort. If a fort is destroyed by combat engineers it will read like this "Japanese engineers ...

RE: Upgraded Invasion Force Composition

That way you didn't get any amphib bonus from the HQ. HQ ranges are counted differently than aircraft ranges, HQ range 1 equals aircraft range 0, so you have to be in the same hex.

Not entirely correct, if your ready aircraft don't fly they won't draw pilots.

RE: Production engine - more questions and lot of data

<t> I don't use auto convoy so I don't know how well it works. CS missions always load supplies and fuel automatically so they are not of much help for resource and oil transportation. I prefer to create big well-protected convoys, it's a bit more work doing it manually but at least I know what's ...

<t> That's really personal preference and depending on your long term strategy. I tend to evacuate some specialized non combat troops but usually let all infantry units fight to the death. As the Allied player you are basically trading VPs for time, if your troops can hold off the Japs for a time it ...

Putting a Naval HQ, or ANY Hq into akyab might just do the trick.
How could a HQ other than naval help? AFAIK neither supplies nor support are needed for ship repairs.

RE: Safe Port

Chandpur is only 2.5 days away as your ships will make at least one hex per phase not per turn. So I would go for it but in other areas where bigger ports are farther away I consider a size 4 port acceptable for putting out fires and pumping out water.
