RE: test

Have you tried clearing your cache, deleting all your cookies and reloading the board from scratch? It may be that you have an old file from the board cached on your disk that doesn't work correctly with the new version of the board.

I obviously haven't been causing you nearly enough problems in our game if you're willing to volunteer for these headaches! Good luck in pulling this game out of the fire.

"USA" is used in the Army as an abbreviation for United States Army, so I think it's more appropriate in the unit names than, say "1st US Infantry Division". I've heard phrases like "1st US ...

RE: Ides of March

<r> Well I got my surface battle, but not quite the one I wanted. A TF built around Dutch light cruisers tried to break up my Timor landing, and Tanaka's BBs were somehow too slow to get there. (He'd retired after bombarding the previous turn (despite plenty of ammo remaining) and I'd ordered him to ...

RE: Ides of March

<r> I probably did take the RN a bit too lightly near Timor, as one of their Stringbags broke through my LRCAP and scored a torpedo hit on a BB. She'll swim, of course, but will need some time in the yards as a result. The next day, my IJNAF pilots finally set the sake aside and got into the fight ...

Odin, you should also have a Group of P-51D (72 aircraft). It does look like these three units are all the Mustangs you get.

RE: Now 10 weeks into the War - a Summary (ZonkerH vs ADavidB)

<r> We're now three months into this game, and an eerie quiet still prevails over most of the Pacific. I've taken the southern half of Java, with just Tjilitjap and Batavia left to go (and maybe one other little base) before I close the book on the DEI campaign. There's still some mopping up of ...

RE: Vals, Why so poor?

The Val was designed in 1937, so it could hardly be expected to equal a Helldiver. Compare the Val to the Dauntless, I think, and the Judy to the Helldiver.

Shoulda happened to the Lexington, too, if only my Kate pilots had kept out of the sake stores before missions.

RE: The WitP Player's Creed

<t> Several things could have contributed to Dave's tanks not firing. The Chinese tank regiment is pretty inexperienced to begin with, plus they had just marched into this hex and wouldn't have had any forts, plus they got dive-bombed during the turn (52 well-rested Sonias). All told, they could ...

A little USB flash memory "stick" is great for moving big files around. Plug it into your computer and the computer think's it's a removeable disk drive. Copy the file to it, tell the computer to shut it down, stick it in your pocket and you're all set.
