RE: Horses

This question has come up quite a few times now. As it is, the horses can not pull heavy artillery pieces, no matter how many you stack together. You will need something bigger for that - try trucks for example.

ATG on the secondary monitor

<t> I have my laptop hooked to a 46'' TV, which is usually set up as the secondary monitor (extended desktop). This works very well for me for most of my (windowed) applications, however, when I want to run full-screen apps such as ATG, they only want to open in the primary monitor (i.e. laptop ...

Little bug

<t> First off, thanks for this excellent piece of work! I'm looking forward to loads of fun I see I'm going to have with this title.<br/>
<br/>
Now, I noticed just one tiny little visual bug. When you click on a subformation to show the details, in the SFT pop-up under "selected subformation type ...

RE: Screens shots

It's no problem at all when it comes to maps etc. You just imagine that the hexes are symmetric and that the vertical span is the same as the horizontal, and that's it. The difference isn't too big anyway, and after a few games your eyes (and brain) will adjust.

RE: Screens shots

It's strange at first, but after a few turns into the game you'll begin to ignore it and even grow used to it. So in no way should this be the reason for not giving this great game a try.

RE: Screens shots

I think what Angelo means is the fact that the hexagons are not symmetric as in other wargames, but are instead a bit squeezed on the vertical axis. I'm afraid this is hard-coded in the game and cannot be changed.

Regarding the above post, maybe it should just have a "permanent" place in the interface, say in the upper left or right, or bottom left or right, of the screen?

This would be very useful indeed. I think SPWaW has ...

I think there's an option in the top-left menu somewhere where you can change text contrast. At the highest setting, the 3D icon in the unit panel will disappear...

RE: Norm Koger’s The Operational Art of War III Gets A Massive Landmark Update!

Thanks TOAD & Matrix!!

One silly question... being a comprehensive update, this means that it can be applied to a fresh install, without any previous patches, right?

RE: TOAW III Viewer / Equipment Editor Updates

Great tool, many thanks Parmenio!!!

It would also be nice if there was a feature that would allow you to search through the scenarios (located in a folder) for a particular parameter (e.g. scale of the battle, number of turns etc.) or some word (string) in the scenario briefing...

RE: SSG Wargames - Where to start?

<r> Thanks for all the feedback!<br/>
<br/>
Well I bought both BiI and Kharkov, and they both look great. Did the tutorials, read some info, and now I'm slowly getting in. However, at the moment I'm still finding Kharkov a bit too overwhelming - too many units. <E>:)</E> So for now I've been ...

SSG Wargames - Where to start?

<r> Hi all!<br/>
<br/>
I've been playing SP:WaW for a loooong time. Then I switched to TOAW and Advanced Tactics, and like them much as well.<br/>
<br/>
But now I'm getting more and more interested in the SSG line of games as well - KP, BiN, BiI, BF, AtD... From the screenshots and reviews they ...

Thanks all for your help!!!

Silvanski, what is that graphic mod that you're using? That screenshot looks really nice with those yellow borders and the big red arrow, and the terrain is nice too!

RE: Graphic mods etc.?

Great, this seems to work! I do get a debug warning while loading ("i0000g bitmap dx 6029413 > 900"), but after I click Continue a couple of times, it disappears and the scenario loads. Everything seems to be OK, and the ugly 3D image is gone. [:)]

Thanks for the tip!!!

Graphic mods etc.?

<t> Hi all! <br/>
