NATO Counters?

I noticed that GGWaW:AWD has the option of using NATO-style unit counters. Does anyone know if these are available for download and use with the original GGWaW? Thanks!

RE: Finland to Karelia

<t> So it sounds like the manual is wrong, then? On page 113, under Campaign III, it states that "The Eastern Soviet Zone is the only remaining Politically Frozen zone in the game". Campaign III starts in Spring 1942, and thus I assumed that by the beginning of Campaign IV, which starts in Summer ...

Finland to Karelia

<t> Can someone please help a newbie? I am playing as Germany in the shortest campaign (1943-1945) and am trying to move my troops from Finland to Karelia. Every time I do so, the computer says "illegal move", even though I don't think either Finalnd or Karelia are frozen at this point. In fact ...

Combo Pack?

<t> Is a combination pack planned for these re-releases? In other words, will there be a Civil War pack with several of those battles, a Napoleonic pack, etc.? What is the planned price for the re-releases? I am debating whether to purchase some other Civil War and Napoleonic titles and was hoping ...

Question from a Newbie

<t> I am on my second game (playing as Japan) and was wondering what the number following the slash represents in water transport capacity? In other words, when a transport is shown as 25/5, I assume that the 25 represents the capacity of that transport ship to carry troops, tanks, artillery, etc ...

Text Resolution & Windowed Mode

<t> Just two quick questions from a newbie - I check the box in the game preferences screen to play in windowed mode, but the game loads up in full screen mode every time. How, exactly, do I apply the change to windowed mode?<br/>

Also, I am playing this game on a laptop, and noticed that ...

RE: Game won't start!!

<t> Thanks. I just purchased a 32MB video card (I realized I only had 16MB in there before), increased the virtual memory and ran the diagnostic again. It seems that the card is still not reporting memory, even though I know it is 32MB. I also re-installed the ATI drivers, and I am still having the ...

Game won't start!!

<t> Even though I have had the game for 2 weeks, I have yet to play it because it won't start! When I click on "Play" on the main menu, the hard drive churns for a while and ultimately an error message comes up that says "WaW executable has encountered a problem and needs to close". I have only 256 ...

RE: Best place for mods?

Thanks!! In my travels on the web I have only seen one mod - an American Civil War mod - which changes the entire game to a different conflict. Are you aware of any other mods that do this?

Best place for mods?

I am new to SPWaW and was wondering where the community thought the best place to obtain mods (graphics, maps, etc.) for the game would be? Thanks!

"Independant"?

<t> Why is the word spelled "independant" on the Corps Orders Panel (above the "To the Guns"), rather than "independent"? This is driving me crazy! Is this the French spelling? Is there any way to correct this if it is just a mistake?<br/>

Also, is there any way to tell whether I have the ...
