RE: INSOMNIA- OT but NEED help !

<t> If I may quote a song I heard on the radio today - "Get a haircut and get a real job!". The most likely reason you're finding it hard to sleep is because you're gaming too much. I get the exact same sleeping problems when I'm laid off and I have nothing to do and find myself on the computer alot ...

RE: The First World War -The Complete Series

Where would I buy BBC's The Great War on DVD for a Canada/U.S. region dvd player? I just spent like 20 mins googling it and couldn't find anything. I just finished watching that on t.v. and I really wanna buy it. Any links are greatly appreciated.

If he had simply brought up a 3rd carrier you'd be surrendering right now.

RE: Midway revisited

<t> Try taking Attu and then move onto Dutch harbor and Alaska. You should deathstar your carriers instead of dividing them and have them follow your invasion ships. Use 60,000+ men. I suggest first moving your carriers around in the Midway area and keep them bound East for one turn so he suspects ...

RE: Midway revisited

<t> Well you failed in your objective. You failed in every way except the carrier battle. I'd say you won in the short run but lost in the long run. You were repulsed and pushed back, you didn't take Midway and you lost alot of ground men for no gain. In the long run the U.S. will probably hit back ...

RE: Port Moresby-to hit or not to hit...

<t> If you do make sure to gather more men and get your assault points to 2,000. Then land your men on Buna and march there, don't land directly on Port Moresby. I suggest not using naval/air bombardments, all you're doing is giving him warning and he'd probably reinforce the place. Then again you ...

They don't literally cloak of course. It must just mean they're trained to conceal numbers.

RE: Is this normal?

<t> Is it true that in one instance on Guadalcanal the Japanese lost 8,000 men to one of their stupid frontal attacks while the Americans lost only 96? I'm not talking about one of their Banzai charges. They had those and just plain frontal attacks believing that the spirit is superior than the ...

RE: Game Crashes

<t> I agree. But I think Witp is terribly under-rated. Probably because most people living in this fast paced world have extremely low attention spans(Doesn't make them stupid btw). They don't want a complex game that requires thought and intelligence. They want an incredibly easy and repetative ...

RE: Game Crashes

Try the interim sound patch. Mine use to crash on animations as well (even with 1.60). When I downloaded the interim sound patch it was fixed. The thread for the patch is located at the top of the "War in the pacific support section.

Need help with CHS mod.

I installed CHS 1.02 155 scenario and it came out weird . The bases are off, Pearl harbor base for instance is 2 hexes south in the water not on Oahu island :\ If you tell me how to post a screenshot I will. I am currently on version 1.60 with no other mods to the game.

RE: Fighters (and fighter-bombers) on "Sweep" doing strafing...

<t> I always just mass medium and heavy bombers to neutralize every airfield in my path. Works great. It's probably the most effective way to destroy planes on the ground as well as damage the hell out of the airfield (If you wanna go that far). If you mass up enough bombers with enough experience i ...
