RE: TCP/IP games or not ?

<t> That sounds great. <br/>
I think thr reason games such as RTW never managed to implement MP campaign mode is because of what happens when one of the players has to resolve a battle with a computer player. I wonder how they will solve this in COG?<br/>

Just think: We are 2 players ...

RE: TCP/IP games or not ?

Ok but just to make sure:

IS THE GAME FULLY MP FOR CAMPAIGN AND TACTICAL MODE? (Or just tactical battles like happens with RTS such as imperial Glory, etc.)

RE: , How adaptable will scenario editor be?

Ok, whatever. Not worried about the "concept".
returning to my beginning question, and just for curiosity: how adaptable WILL the editor be? Will it be possible to edit unit characteristics fully?[:'(]

RE: , How adaptable will scenario editor be?

<t> Well, in business terms I think it would be far more profitable to make it as adaptable as I was saying because it would provide a much larger player base, and much more interest from scenario makers.<br/>
<br/>
Games like The Operational Art of War come to mind.<br/>

, How adaptable will scenario editor be?

<t> I mean, will it be possible to edit units completely, that is, to include making scenarios for other "age of rifles" scenarios. <br/>
<br/>
Like I'm thinking, will it be suitable or restricting in some way to make Civil war Battle Scenarios, or British Colonial campaign battles in the desert ...

RE: Patch 1.1 requests

whn playing solitaire, allow setting so that combat animations are ON or OFF for each of the players. I.E, allow the human player to set combat animations on, but set the AI players' animations off.

RE: PBEM

<r> This sequential PBEM method has been widely used and tested befor ein games like Civilization. Typically a thread is started in a forum and players post their turn file for the next player to pick up, post comments, etc.<br/>

RE: HoI2

<t> I'm not a betatester but have played HOI 1.<br/>
The fundamental difference is that HOI is real time and WaW is turn based. <br/>
Of course the scale of time/units is also totally different.<br/>
I found HOI quite bad for playing online because it takes many many hours; also there's so much ...

Aircraft Carriers ?

<t> Don't know if you've covered this in one of the AAR. But they mostly seem concentrated on the European theatre.<br/>
How are aircraft carrier units handled. Do they have special abilities to allow operational handling of assigning their airplanes to diffrente types of air raids etc.?<br/>

RE: Congrats-Looks fantastic

<t> Well, I did play HOI 1, not HOI 2.<br/>
It's not a bad game but there are some fundamental differences that cannot be compared to WaW.<br/>
Mainly:<br/>
-HOI is a real time strategy game, NOT a turn based one as is WaW. Therefore HOI cannot be played by PBEM, only live online.<br/>

RE: Is this an updated Axis and Allies?

I hope it's NOT like the recent A&A which in my humble opinions has one of the worst AI's I've ever experienced at the strategic level!

Congrats-Looks fantastic

<t> I play mainly solitaire. Although I love the Pacific theatre besides the European one, I have found that when playing solitaire at such grand scale it is very difficult for an AI to do things properly.<br/>
My experiences with Heats of Iron and lately Axis and Allies prove this.<br/>
In an ...
