Lost Serial Number

<t> Wife threw away the paper w/ my serial number form original download. I checked my email but it had been deleted. I downloaded the game the first day it was out and wondered if there is any way I can find my original serial number so I can install the patch?<br/>

RE: Gas changes

Agreed. MAybe just limit off screen ammo so that even on the 3rd (or 4th or whatever)Rest/Refit, it can't still be replenished after you've fired a certain number of barrages. (just make it alot becuase it IS the WP's only real advantage)

<r> <QUOTE><s>[quote]</s>4. My ad-hoc games are also having a weird combat resolution issue. I'll issue order, click procede, one unit will move, then I'll be dumped back out to orders. Then next procede fire off a full round of action. Appears to be a timing bug of some sort. Either the full turn ...

RE: Where are the grunts?!!?

<t> Form what I understand, they are modeled in the game. For instance, there is additional combat power for each mech inf unit when it is immobile to simulate deployable inf. weapons. For the upcoming patch, I believe Rob mentioned that there will be additonal bonuses for mech inf that is "holding ...

RE: Strategy Thread

<t> I dont think you made a mistake trying to take the city...I think it was a great move. Generally though, you get some points for "occupying" a sector if you have more troops, but you get many more points if you "clear" it. SOmetimes, NATO gets more points for unit destruction (b/c WP has more ...

RE: Strategy Thread

<t> As your opponent in this PBEM, I agree. The most effective attack was that which immediatly followed the artillery barrage. I didn't really move my units because they are NBC protected, but they WERE "suppressed" after your normal barrage following the chemical attack. Suppressed means that they ...

<t> Actually, it has occured on all of the PBEM games where I have received the scenarion from the other player. I don't know if it occures when I put together the scenario. If nobody else is noticing this, then obviously its something I'm doing and not the game.<br/>

RE: PBEM and unit balance

<r> I'd be careful about adding WP units. True, they did have a 4:1 advantage in tanks...but NOT all of those tanks were first line T-80's (or even t-72's for that matter). Soviets rarely retired anything. An advantage of 4 T-80's for every M1A1 might be a little unrealistic.<br/>

<t> I'm going to bump this becuase it happened again in a new PBEM game I am playing. I was sent "Thin Blue Line" but received the mission briefing/briefing map/OOB for "A few Good Tanks". RE: PBEM and unit balance

<t> Seems more balanced than I thought. Although Poliorcetes noticed (as WP), as did I in another PBEM (as WP) that a WP force on assault will usually get shredded by a NATO unit on hold/screen; often without getting a shot off. Just seems...odd. I know the advantages to defense but on "assault" the ...

RE: PBEM and unit balance

<t> Yes to both. I think unit balancing is good....better than I first thought. It's just that without recon, WP has to recon by force or by sacrificial Mech unit. Maybe a few recon units, better (or more effective) anti-air units for use against annoying NATO airstrikes, and more arty. All in all ...

Rob,

I am currently playing a PBEM game now where this is happening every other turn. I "uploaded" the file for you. Hope this works.
