I finally finished the game.  What a bore.  The mothership was just another 2D level, and the "brain" was a complete pain.  UFO:E has zero replay value unless someone uses it as an engine for a totally new game.

The easiest fight has to be the main base defence.&nbsp; The aliens wont blow open the walls, so I just put&nbsp;troops in front&nbsp;of the doors and wait.

I tried uninstalling UF then reinstalled it.&nbsp; When I loaded a saved game I got the same error.
