I started the game in 1997, worked on it for about 18 months and then switched to working on my 1806 game instead. Then I worked on it for a few more months before switching to work on 1809. Then for another year, maybe a little more ...

RE: Next TS game - Robert E Lee maybe next?

<t> This system would be a perfect medium for the Crusades. Who has ever seen the battle of Hattin modeled in a wargame??? Or The Lionheart's march along the coast, attacked by Saleh-al-Din while in column of march, yet winning??? Lots of nice possibilities, and ripe for marketing after the success ...

<t> It's realistic. Legionairies were issued 2 pilum and I verutum (pila essentially to disable shields and hopefully get some lucky kills, verutum for sheer, closer in killing effect before closing in with the gladius). I once got 600 pts damage using the poison card on the throwing unit, but ...

Whatever you guys did, you're obviously going in the right direction. Please let us know if there will be further improvements ... I will say ...

RE: I need a Matrix rep reply, please.

Hi Erik,

They were, on the two, smaller beginning scenarios. It won't play the bigger ones. I don't think I sent it, as everything was fine with the tests and I was initially able to play. This is definately a memory overload issue.

I need a Matrix rep reply, please.

<r> Hi,<br/>
<br/>
Unfortunately, I'm only able to play the two beginning, smaller scenarios. Once I got to something bigger, i.e., Nervii, it's all over. The mouse problem has gone from an annoyance to absolutely inoperable. You move the mouse, and the cursor waits 1-2 full seconds before ...

RE: AI difficulty. Something wrong?

<t> I've bought both of them myself. Alexander was extremely challenging. I personally think JC is less of a challenge, but challenging nonetheless, and an improvement overall over ATG. I haven't spent 2 much time with JC yet, but it took me a few weeks to finish ATG, most of it spent on trying to ...

RE: AI difficulty. Something wrong?

<t> Thank you SOOOOOOOOO much for not allowing the AI to cheat but peeking at the player's commands! You have no idea how frustrating it is when in some games, e.g., you pull a completely unexpected masterstroke that should net you a victory, only to have it snatched away when the AI "coincidentally ...

RE: Julius Caesar wont run

Hi Gents,

Sorry to take so long, couldn't get at it 'til last night. I tried one last full uninstall and reinstall, and it now works fine (except for the mouse prob, but I guess I'll just have to get used to that). Thanks again for the help!

Eric & Deride, appreciate the quick responses. I won't have access to that machine for several hours. For now, Deride, you hit my problem right on the head! Yes, I've tried quicklaunch, but it claims to be unable to find the file. This is extremely perplexing. I'm not running ...
