Re: A Good Place to Start - Matthew (A) v Fokko (J) - Bottlenecks Mod

Matthew,

You are right (I phrased my question wrong) - Japan will have trouble shipping the accumulated oil back to the Home Islands due to the reduced cargo capacities of the merchant marine. It will take longer to build the stockpiles at home, giving you opportunities to sink the tankers and put ...

Re: Hittin' the bottle again...

So LST, given the obvious 'Bottlenecks' in transportation and economy, would you say that Japan should limit themselves to just one deep-strike target?
India OR Australia OR NZ/Fiji OR Aleutians/Alaska.

Re: A Good Place to Start - Matthew (A) v Fokko (J) - Bottlenecks Mod

Just spent 3 days reading this AAR, having just got back into WITP:AE. An excellent read.

Fokko is taking a very cautious stance in this game, but given the transport and resource constraints for Japan in this scenario, loosing out on months of Allied oil centre production by not capturing the oil ...

Re: Help with fresh install

Just install those two items and wait for the patch that's currently pending. The game does work in Win 11, but it may take some priming with the switches to prevent lag and graphic glitches.

I have the graphic glitch in the combat replays (doubled gittery images) - do you have any hints as to ...

Treaty tonnage Calculation Error?

RTW3 Treaty Tonnage.jpg
So the image shows it all -
From the normal game screen I'm showing over the treaty fleet tonnage so I scrapped over 60K tons of ships to get down to only an excess of 23K.
Then I looked into the almanac to see what was going on, and see I'm under the total limit (450k ...

A great read so far - thanks for updating.

Re the Taiyo - you could add her to the slow AO TF. Use either as an ASW platform, or empty (heaven forbid any CV should be damaged the aircraft can divert to her!)

<t> I only recently got back into WITP:AE and am interested in the LST Bottlenecks scenario so have now read your whole AAR over the last week. I did start reading Mundy's AAR but gave it up at the Moulmein Army fiasco - played out much like Stalingrad... so no OPSEC breach as I couldn't handle his ...

<t> If there are no allied TFs or subs in the area then why send DD escorts?<br/>
Leave them at Lahaina and avoid losses. As Japan you cannot afford to loose DDs needlessly.<br/>
