1.5 that just appeared on Spooky's site (Thanks, Spooky!) does not have any USN CA/CLs.

There will be some in later versions, carefully added to replace Atlantic BBs leaving balance intact.

3 issues with Cautionaries v1.4 (don't know if they have been corrected in later versions):

- No replacements for Vought O2U and Martin SC-2 since they are marked as research & development ("-rd")
- B type blimps cannot upgrade to J type
- US player has 2 AVs, one with an a/c capacity of 12 and the other with 4. The problem is that there's no float-plane squadron with a maximum size of 4 or less aircrafts, so the AV is basically useless (except for providing Aviation Support)... Can we have a squadron with 4 Martin SC-2?

Same goes for japan too, all AV's are 4 support, all squadrons sixe 8. [:(]

Oh and I don't think that the american cruisers should be added with the reduction of atlantic battleships. Imho the american BB's should not be reduced.

Corsairs and Martins are gone in 1.5+ as unavailable in 1922-23.
B- and J-type blimps are gone in 1.7+ as ahistorical.
I'll think about it. Remember, AVs have 2 purposes, and one of them is forward logistics support. ZP-1 with Garnet (the AV you are talking about) does not need any USAAS base forces on the atoll, freeing those engineers to be elsewhere.

P.S. If a Corsair or a Martin is lost in the air over West Coast it *does* come back. So train the heck out of those units before you sent them west. And enjoy them while you got them ;)

Has anyone tried loading 8 float planes on a TF with 2 AVs 4-support each? I'll take a look at this.

I strongly doubt USN would sent its obsolete ships across Pacific, not after Tsushima. The losses taken were mostly on older vessels - and I would take an Omaha over Georgia any day of the week. All dreadnaughts are present save for Utah. Maryland as a matter of fact is available 5 months earlier than it used to be.

P.S. Did I mention that most of BBs that made it already come with onboard aircraft in 1.7? ^_^

1.7 is out.

version 1.7 date April 25, 2006:

33. Every combat ship has been redone to make sure it is armed, armored, named, and located correctly. Major sources used: The Dictionary of American Naval Fighting Ships (http://www.hazegray.org/danfs/), Wikipedia, and IJN Vessels (http://homepage2.nifty.com/nishidah/e/s_index.htm)
34. MLEs removed to avoid having huge minefields in the middle of nowhere.
35. Every air group has been redone. All carriers have named squadrons individually tailored for those ships, OOBs derived from Conways' and other sources.
36. All IJN DDs received ASW weapons.

As always, I intend to ask Spooky to host the files; until then, I'll gladly send them to anyone interested. PM me.
