Hi all,
The invasion of Timor has begun! A well co-ordinated offensive has led to 1000's of IJA troops being landed on both the west and east end of the island. The Allied situation is hopeless with IJN Heavy units shelling enemy positions and covering the landings whilst Betties scout for enemy ships and Zero's provide CAP. An example of IJN firepower in the region:
Naval bombardment of Koepang, at 28,77
Allied aircraft
no flights
Allied aircraft losses
Lockheed 212: 2 destroyed
Japanese Ships
CL Isuzu
CA Suzuya
CL Yura
CA Myoko
BB Mutsu
BB Nagato
Allied ground losses:
406 casualties reported
Guns lost 6
Vehicles lost 2
Airbase hits 32
Airbase supply hits 15
Runway hits 135
Port fuel hits 1
Port supply hits 2
Timor should fall within days
----------------
IJN ASW assets located SS Greenling 240 miles SW of Truk. DD Amatsukaze and Kamikaze dropped DC's in the suspected location. No damage reported......
SS O16 attenpted to interfere with the Koepang landings whilst probably returning from Javan patrol to refuel at Darwin. 'Unfortunately' DD Akigumo hit the boat with 2 direct hits amongst 10's of DC's dropped. The sub was lost with all hands......

21/22nd June 1942
Hi all,
At last Nik will be potentially forcd into a CV vs CV engagement rather than him running away like a pussy.
KB had left Truk over a week ago to hunt and destroy ebnemy shipping. First priority was enemy Cv's, 2nd loaded transports. On the 21st they found a lone Freighter and blew her to smithereens. On the 22nd they found a CV (s). Annoyingly the weather prevented any airstrikes by either side (despite it being clear over my CV's in the afternoon!)
Nonetheless with Nik only 120 miles away this will see how big his cajones are. If he RUNS he's a WIMP. If he stays he's a man[:'(] Sceenie below shows the position.
-----------
In oither news. The buk of Timor has fallen rapidly to superior IJA formations. Both Koepang and Lautem have fallen. The only damage sustained was a couple of bomb hiot by Forts on my AP's. Nothing serious. The Timor operation is effectively over with just Dili to be secured. On to pastures new...........
----------
In Burma. The Rangoon boys bombed enemy troops north of Pagan. A few enemy Hurris attempted to interfere. 3 were shot down over the 2 days.
----------
SS I-159 had fun off the coast of India. She hit the freighter Empire Raven with a torpedo......
----------
The next couple of days could be fun if Nik plays like a man.

Hi all,
Well here we have it guys. The CLEAREST evidence yet. Nik is a WIMP![8|]
[:'(]
The option of a CV encounter is there and after all his boasting he RUNS away! Pah.
KB is unfortunately too low on fuel so is running to safe waters to refuel.
Nik was lucky. I doubt he'll admit it mind you but the weather saved him on the first day...........
----------------
Other news:
Forts, Blenheims and Bostons bomb IJN vessels at Lautem from Darwin. A couple of transports sustain bomb hits but nothing major. A couple of tennis balls also bounce off the armour of Yamashiro, Fuso and Haguro.
IJAAF bombs Chinese troops west of Mandalay. A few Hurris try to intervene and 1 is lost as in an escorting Oscar.
IJA troops storm ashore at Iloilo, PI.
