I was thinking something more along historical lines...

I don't like seeing Canadian ships involved in New Guinea or British ships involved in CenPac.[:)]

I'm a weirdo too. I think that only specific aircraft should operate using equally specific Aviation units. At least keep them based on nationality for Allies and IJN/IJA for Japan.

USN refits should only take place on the West Coast or Pearl Harbor.

Stuff like this will keep it more realistically paced.

I was thinking keeping Aviation Support and aircraft linked. For Japan, only IJA AV can support IJA aircraft. For Allies, I suspect tying them by nationality.

Perhaps Japan's turn one can go a wee bit quicker this game...I'd like to see a somewhat realistic turn one for once[;)].

I'd like to see KB attacking PH a must. After all this was the opening move of the war and instigated the universally retarded turn one move bonus. No other Naval carrier strikes on any other enemy bases/units turn one (date line time differential, concern over triggering Allied response issue).

Only Japanese TFs that can utilize turn one move bonus with Allied base as a target are KB (Pearl Harbor), any sub TF, the Bataan Is TF (island between Luzon and Formosa). Of course Japan can have TFs at sea but can't target an enemy base...they can move between friendly bases.

I'd argue that no offensive action be taken west of Pearl Harbor on turn one to simulate the time differential. After turn one the difference no longer matters.

Well i do not think that those new scn are compatible with the standart map... any way i got a Extended Version installed now so maybe we will go with it...

Darn right, I have extended installed now. Makes a huge difference for Allies to boot.

About this AV Support i think it will take to much time to do that and wath out what can support what...[:D] but since we are playing on the ext map i suggest that no Japanese units may enter those corridors leading to Aden and Panama[:D] and additonal house rule no Sub Invasion's ohhh BTW swith off the Allied Sub Doctrine[:D]

We won't invade any off map bases.
No IJN CV TF's will go within 5 hexes of off map transit areas.
We won't pack the lanes with subs.

There won't be mass invasions on turn one.
Not sure about aviation restriction.
Have to see what Irrelevant thinks.
If we do it, it should be for both sides.

PDU's, we would like them off.[;)]

There is one more standard rule I would like to implement.

Invasions may only be conducted at base/dot hexes.

Sorry, I should have posted this at the start.
It is standard for me and Irrelevant when playing this game.

I'm okay with all this if Halsey is. I played aviation support this way vs Halsey in our last game.

Well ok PDU can be off but i would like an asurance that the KB will strike Pearl only once and will be not loitering around Pearl... So will you turn off ouer sub Doctrine??? Ron Do you have MSN or ICQ??? we need to split forces somehow

Let's split according to the historical map I posted as it seems to be easiest. You and I will just have to transfer USN ships in and out of SWPAC as operations and repair and refit require.

Well and can't we Split as i posted CENTPAC and SWPAC + the Philllipines to me and the rest to you??[:D] i would love to command US NAVY but China is to much for me... As for the AV restrictions can we agree that the AVG , USFEC starting Squadrons , and those arriving in SEAC be excluded from this rule??[:D]
