If someone had asked me "What was the best thing I missed at GenCon?" I would answer "Starshatter 2." We didn't even know we'd have it available at the show, but thanks to a lucky phone call from Destroyer Studios we learned that a release candidate was available on our FTP. So Dave immediately ordered me to download it. So I immediately ordered Ron to download it. Chain of command isn't just a military term, after all. Good work Ron!
We had it up and running on the second day of the show and it was a tremendous success. The visuals have improved tremendously and it is so captivating to watch and play. I didn't have enough time to dive into the game's depth, but from the shallow "Shoot the enemy" style play it is crazy-fun.
