I'm testing v1.1 in which I set reconstitution to "fixed"
This means that units will try to reconstitute in or near their formation HQ's first objective hex, provided it's not been overrun or enemy controlled... The 1st objective can be set further back, but for the Polish I kept their HQ's original hex so many Polish units will not reconstitue and appear in the formation report as "eliminated" Poland has less manpower available... Units that do reconstitute represent stragglers which have been able to reorganize themselves...
Now here's an interesting situation...
27 October 1939....
During its advance through southern Poland, the Communist PO declined to clear all hexes. (this might be prevented by setting the second wave of formations to "screen"...)
This enabled several Polish -mainly small broken up- units to reconstitute...
Although individually weak, they had room to manoeuver and disrupt the Communists' rear...
It forced Elmer to pull 2nd Ukrainian out of the frontline to clear up the mess caused by these Polish stragglers...
This eased the pressure on the southern section of the front... The Communists could have been in Bratislava by now which would have opened the door towards Vienna and Bavaria...
The formation on the east side of the border is 3rd Ukrainian set to activate at a later date for the invasion of Hungary and Romania... I made sure not to come near them with any Polish unit as not to prematurely activate them... don't wake a sleeping dog...
