Night bombing attack on sabang in N sumatra. The British night fighters are a bit
pathetic really rarely catching an intruder, conversely the night bombers rarely hit
anything. the loss of a P40 is a very rare event.
I have moved up the only on map american night fighters from Noumea to Sabang just for
testing to see how well the P70 Havocs perform in night interception duty. No radar in them
so i'll not get too excited but it's doubled the night fighter numbers.
Sabang is also a forward submarine base with an AS ( sub supply ship) to re-load torpedoes.
5 subs sent on manual to prowl the south china sea at various strategic locationa i.e manilla
and brunei amongst others.

Thats not much in the way of on map training so Joe is being a very honorable opponent in my
opionion. Not that on map training is banned or anything i'm just following his lead on this.
hence the non-abuse of attu island.

AK Yamabiko Maru, Bomb hits 4, on fire, heavy damage SUNK
Only 500lb bombs today, the big boys must have run out. the fighters took a beating
with 19 pilots dead or MIA .. the replacements are really bad unfortunately.they could be
a LOT worse though as the chinese pilot pool still has 61 pilots for assignment so not
scraping the barrel quite yet.
Another good sub attack 60 miles off the japanese coast, unescorted merchant find the
waters not so safe any more.
Sub attack at 61,44

I'm not wastinf supply to shoot back as china isn't exactly heaving with spare supply.
The southern chinese army surrounded the coastal city of Canton and started to shell
the defenders
Ground combat at Canton
Allied Bombardment attack
Attacking force 172914 troops, 1168 guns, 0 vehicles, Assault Value = 5399
Defending force 154898 troops, 1471 guns, 19 vehicles, Assault Value = 2644
Japanese ground losses:
11 casualties reported
The losses are negligable and indicate to me a high fortification level. IF i attack i
suspect i'd get slaughtered, so back home for this lot. the units are also supply short here
The supply in china is very very tenuous as i dont fly any in from india. the dakotas
are needed else where. IE i have ordered them to fly in more aviation support to
Pagan airbase in burma. saves the very long slog by foot.
Anyway , on to another theatre. South west pacific.
The damaged planes at rennel are finally getting fixed and flown out. down to 38 damaged now.
The facilities are also repairing, runway is clear but the ops room still looks like an
explosion at a Ikea factory [:D].
Time to rebuild and re-think peraton ooze. the need for CV's is painfully obvious.fortunately
there are quite a lot of carriers coming along. see below piccie.
A Large convoy carrying the 3rd USMC division just refuelled at Noumea and will head SE then creep
up the australian coast to townsville. with rennel island KO there is a possible gap in the
search network and i do not want this group attacked by the carriers like before. a smaller supply
convoy will take a more nortern route as advanced notice just in case.
I'm also shifting the 1st and 2nd marine divisions from canton to australia for a huge assault
on New guinea getting organised. to be led by a massive invasion of port moresby then quicky
grabbing gili gili for support and a forward fighter base.
that about covers todays update. attu got bombed heavily and the northern pacific HQ just unloaded
to provide extra support etc. might make a differance when i attack again in a few days.
bye for now , off to watch a movie on the telly ..
