Each side loses a merchant. 40th division will land at Hokkaido tomorrow, and a regiment of Hawaiian division at Yap with another regiment and 2nd BB division in a close follow-up.

Something I forgot to consider in due time: raiders can be used as fast transports... :)

Speed 12, 11 after a single point of damage = 2 hexes a day. Range 20000. Capacity 400 each - 24-32 average squads. Currently pictured TF loaded 105 squads in a fast transport mode in a single round using 0 ops. Capacity goes down to 0 if TF is switched to transport mode.

P.S. Note that after sailing from Pearl to Home Islands and back to Midway TF still has over 50% fuel and range left.

No. 1923-style AKs and APs are armed transports. CLs are raiders... I've been using them for a month, and already their 6" broadside guns are #1 killer in the game. And they got 5" ones too... and mines.

P.S. 6" raider guns have already claimed 4 destroyers (including a brand new #1), a minelayer, an aircraft tender, three gunboats (technically, small pre-WW1 cruisers), and four submarine chasers... :)

Several calm days. Raiders off Tokyo are busy escaping a mixed BB/CV IJN TF that is in turn being chased by 2 USN CVEs.

3 IJN AKs go down; and No. 40 submarine has a very sad date with 2 1000lbs bombs just off Toyohara, becoming the 18th IJN sub to decorate the bottom of the sea.

Yap is captured, and Guam is next. Invasion of Luzon is postponed after initial raider reconnaisance reveals massive amounts of troops on the island.

Well, this is it. The logistics is finally catching up to me. 93 raiders circling Tokyo is nice... but they still have to trail back to Midway to resupply. Stacking 75,000+ men and 700 guns in Hokkaido is impressive... but the next serious reinforcement is still on the West Coast.

Guam will fall, I just need to bring more supplies to the Hawaiian regiment that landed. But how much more can I accomplish in South Pacific without having to confront major enemy forces, which is not something I am prepared for?

And with the carrier plane complement gone, I'm totally out of airpower. The carriers will survive, I hope, but 39 planes are gone forever...
